It did so with less than 3 hours of pre-orders. In comparison, Lover reached the Diamond threshold on QQ (250K for albums that cost 20 yuans) more than 5 days after it was put in the digital store for pre-orders :clap3:

People are saying it's just preadds and not actual sales. What's the truth @peterstyles13?

People are confusing everything. This is just the new way QQ Music does pre-orders. Basically, 250K people added the album in their cart. They'll have to pay for it once it's released. It's not pre-adds like you would see on Apple Music or Spotify, it's actual people who committed to buying it.

Is the transaction automatic? We need this to be the top IFPI album of 2020 :fan:

Why aren’t the other girls (artists in general) selling like her?

Because Taylor has more demand in China. I just would never brag about albums sold at 2.86 dollars, but that's just me.

If that's the price of albums in China then that's the price...the rest of the girls aren't selling albums in China even at 20 yuans and they definitely didn't sell 800k first week in the US (minus Adele) on their last go around either, so what's the point

Some of the girls are selling albums for 12 yuan (or even less in the case local artists) but Taylor keeps raising the bar for how much one should expect to pay for quality music.

Anyways, Folklore is going to be the first Western album to cost 25 Yuan so raising the bar as usual.
