It's still a flop and will serve 0 longevity as the song and video are horrible and the reception so far has been lukewarm at best.

do you know the difference between counter numbers and official FIRST DAY numbers? Spotify always shows you the counter numbers. It's been 33 hours since SL has been released. In those 33 hours SL has been streamed 5.6M times. However, the official first day numbers take into consideration only the first 24 hours in which the song has been streamed, thus a disparity ensues.

Really nice numbers for an artist whose peak happened a decade ago. She's transitioning well into the streaming era imo. She may have a hit with SL after all. It will all depend on how they manage the song in the next weeks/months and what happens on streaming/radio in the following days.

well, congrats to Gaga on her achievements in the MOVIE industry, which is separate from the MUSIC industry, which happens to be the point of our discussion here. I also do wish Miss Gaga an ounce of luck in her future movie endeavors and hope that her acting career is a lot more stable than her musical one and we don't have to wait another 8 years for her to have a hit movie the way we've very patiently waited for her to have another hit song from 2011 to 2019 and will most likely have to wait just as much for another one.

Exactly, they are comparing her to young popstars like Ariana who just had her biggest era  or Taylor whose strong suit has always been pop. no, she isn't "roughly" keeping up with the young pop princesses & pop-juggernaut Taylor. Taylor's counter number was around 10.7M if I'm not mistaken, her official number is 8m. Gaga's official number is going to be around 4-4.5m, which is roughly half of what Taylor/Ariana/Billie did
