Better get your comeback game up - it's all downhill from here... or from 2017 technically. *hums Hello by Adele* Taylor's reign isn't really over yet. As much as your pressed soul would like otherwise, no one is doing these numbers in 2019 and we don't know if Adele will also live up to the expectations so many people have on her. Swift has had two #2 peaking singles, Lover will probably be another hit for her and her touring numbers will also be out of this world once they come out.

Her album sales actually decreased by 45 percent despite selling four versions of the same album. Anyway, these 1M debuts are over for Tay Tay. Maybe she can pull off one in China. Conservatives have really abandoned her. Perched for these second-week numbers. She will probably spend like two weeks at number one This. The decline is REAL and she was already coming from a 65% decline with her previous era. She will struggle to outsell in TOTAL pure what reputation sold in its FIRST week. Not to mention that this time she actually did more promo in the first week than in the entirety of the reputation era and still failed to scratch 1M with the help of SPS. I thought she was the biggest star in the planet (as her stans love to claim) but after all this time she hasnt surpassed Adele´s last first week, even combining her last 3 albums´ first weeks. The second week DROP will be something.

She will sell out stadiums full of 5yo, tweens, soccer moms and grandmas, know doubt. When you write songs that pander to every age group, you're gonna sell well. Let's see her release singles that don't pander to every age group and then see how much she sells. *hums Partition by Beyoncé*

When someone pointed out she had two #2-peaking songs, you conveniently overlooked that. Then people mentioned touring stats, you said that she would sell out because of soccer moms, etc. 1. How is she declining if she’s able to sell out stadiums? 2. How is the demographic to sell out a stadium important/worth mentioning? Is it because whoever you’re stanning can’t pull of these stats, so you’re trying to discredit Taylor? Edited September 3, 2019 by lhdang2000
Adonis Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Taylor is doing just fine. Albums are on their way out and Taylor still outperformed basically everyone this year.

Mons†erMuscle™ Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 A DECLINE is a DECLINE. The next album will open with a little less than this one, and the next a little less than before, until she's selling just as much as those with actual talent her peers.
halcyonday Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 So it's already a HUGE 30% drop from the last time? Not a cute look for her career.

1989 Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 The way she has the girls absolutely bothered because she’s once again outdoing everyone except Adele, and especially outdoing all of their lil faves. No matter what she sold with Lover or what she will sell in the future, it’ll always be more than your fave (again, sans Queen Adele). She’s just on that other level most girls aren’t. It must hurt, I know.
fauxtography Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Y’all put a lot of stock into Adele as if she’s going to have a 1mil first week next album (she won’t!) 25 was completely front loaded and failed to produce an actual hit. Hello was also front loaded.

Omg a troll.. this comment is a joke...hello was not front loaded..it was a smash longevity hit... hello was 10 weeks on top of hot 100...look what you made me do can't relate..and the album 25 had another hit 'send my love to your new lover'...25 opened with 3 million and it ended up with 10 million in usa.tha's not front loaded ...WorldWide the numbers were also huge.bigger than any taylor album ..taylor would have killed to have an era like '25' .25 were much bigger than reputation and lover combined.the last big taylor era was 1989.that was her peak..don't be delusional.adele right now is bigger.sorry if you're jealous of her but Adele is more successful Edited September 3, 2019 by sakisfan16

Hello was also front loaded. “25” was the best selling album of both 2015 and 2016, so, again how was that front loaded? When was the last time Taylor had the best selling album for 2 consecutive years? I’ll wait for the answer... "25" spent 36 weeks in the top 10, compared to 11 weeks for “reputation” for example. It also spent 19 consecutive weeks in the top 5 and all of these while being held back from streaming platforms for 6 months Then the last part of your post is also incorrect, in the Hot100, she scored another hit, “Send My Love”, which spent multiple weeks in the top 10, sold 1.3M pure copies and amassed more than 1B streams between YouTube and Spotify only. It topped Pop Radio and went #2 in Overall Radio. “When We Were Young” despite being sabotaged during its single run by Adele herself, was a top 20 hit that sold 1M pure copies and also collected more than 1B streams between YouTube and Spotify only. “Water Under The Bridge” sold more than 500k pure copies, went top 10 on Overall Radio and made it to the Year-End Chart of 2017, despite not being performed in its entire run nor having a music or even lyric video.
