The song is tragic! Sounds like a Demo

A shame that Cardi can’t drug talented writers and steal better bars or flows from them :cm:

The obsessed haters in this thread :rip: some of y'all need to get out the house

You’re the one to talk! :ahh:

OT: It’s a terrible song, I like Cardi but she’s starting to FALL OFF. She only has one album yet her new singles are so disappointing.

The delusional Barbz circlejerking in this thread :dies:

It's doing fine for a hard rap song because that's what it is. I guess Barbz aren't used to rappers putting out songs that were made for actual hip-hop listeners and radio because they're so used to goofy garbage that doesn't even hit the Bubbling Under and only takes off with gays making memes on Twitter.

it doesn't have that relatable factor her singles usually have. That might change with a mv and with radio support though. A remix with 2 other rappers would really help. Even the supposed ghost writer claims didn't reach my timeline

It’s a trash song and y’all have become way to ghetto for me to catch up. It’s like I took a nap and the world just woke up ratchet af.

The hell is a hard rap song?

One that's not expected to cross over to pop formats/playlists? Maybe that's not the most accurate term. Migos for example have tons of singles that were designed and only released to hip-hop formats but Bad and Boujee got wider support because it's more accessible.

Ok. But its 2019, so what's the point of bringing up crossing over to pop?

This is a derivative of her previous music that all did well. Bodak Yellow did exceptional, Bartier Cardi and Money were decent

It being "hard" rap isnt even an excuse anymore. People just arent feeling it cause it didnt live up to expectations

The only thing hard about Press is the fact that it must be hard for Cardi to develop a new flow.

The song is weak. People expected a lot more after IOP (or to some extent, after Money). And all the Bardi gang members will soon realize that Cardi raised her own bar, so people demand more quality and diversity.

Trying to diminish fair criticism by pointing fingers and comparing Press to female rap songs from 2012 (imagine!) is not only unfair but plain stupid. Nicki in 2012 can not be compared to Cardi in 2019.

You seem angry and bitter :rip: it's 2019 'hard' rap songs ( whatever that is lmao) smash left and right

Press is just a bad song, no need to go off topic.

Aggressive, loud songs like Press don't smash that often :skull: Most rap smash hits are quieter and lighter, like Drake and Post Malone's.

I know abandoning Nicki when she flopped must've been really hard so keeping tabs on the girl who erased her career seems like the only way to cope. At least you have Gaga whose career rebounded :clap3:

It didn’t live up to the hype so it’s flopping in comparison to her fans’ expectations

You really need to stay on topic, the lashing out is not a good look!

Maybe a performance will save press

Lmao wow the anger is seething out. And by the way, Nicki is about to collect a 5x platinum plaque for FEFE during her flop era and even got a platinum plaque for Queen. Gaga came back after ARTPOP failed to even reach platinum and she’s fine now. No need to bring Gaga into this especially when she hasn’t released a song certified that high in awhile, love. Nicki will be fine.
