Literally everyone would have been overshadowed by this 'meme rapper' tho?  Do you think Ariana would have a #1 single if she competed against OTR?  It looks like it could be the longest running #1 ever, has 8/10 highest streaming weeks EVER, about to be the fastest diamond certified song ever and might end up the biggest song of the decade (in the US).. like

Ok, now explain the other 9 songs blocking her from #1

Yet why isnt it still #2 or top 3 while songs that been out way longer ( Talk and Bad Guy) in the top 3? This is excuses for a song underperforming ( it's not a flop but I'm sure her team is not happy with the deal results.)

Best top 3 in a long time, quality only :clap3:

Good thing Billie has enough talent for the entire top 3, since the other 2 are not of such quality :clap3:

The "label puppets" winning, ATRL losing :clap3:

Talk is the best song off the album so I'm happy for its success.

Where did i defend Me's longevity? i was just defending it not hitting #1. It wont have great longevity and rightfully so. One of her worst songs ever. But the fact that it didnt hit #1 is not bad/shocking considering the competition is a record breaking song and NO ONE this year has any chance hitting #1 against OTR

bad guy :jonny5:

It's so so stable on iTunes/Spotify/YouTube for 9 weeks now and it's even gaining a bit instead of dropping, while it's also increasing on radio :jonny5:

Man, Khalid has been killing it. ATRL lost once again.

And Eyelash, gurl... she's just dominating the music industry. :worship:

It’s peaked on urban and pop is still chugging along.

i think the only way it doesn’t break the record is if a  #1 debut or a few come in and break up the non consecutive weeks before a #1 stays at the top.

so if a drake Ariana/taylor song we’re to debut next month or some big name takes a week or two and then Rihanna comes through later this summer then that will stop it...

otherwise this is going the distance

its ok mariah...that #1 hit this Xmas will grant you another record and you held this for 20+ years...

Will mama Billie be the one to take down old town road?

her organic rise plus a few debut at #1s for a week might do the trick.

So happy for billie & khalid.

”Old Town Road” lead points at #1 on its 9th week at #1 is ****ing insane, I’ve never ever seen a 9 week number #1 song doing more than 100 milion streams. It is very stable on sales and It’s still increasing on radio, maybe Lil Nas X will break Mariah & Justin Bieber’s record...

Nah Billie’s gonna pull a Bad Romance with #2 as it’s peak.

someone else will swoop in and save Mariah’s record.

Nah the opposite. I’m saying all of these artists should also be dragged.

Okay, so "Break Up With Your Boyfriend" and "Nonstop" weren't lead singles. In fact, "Nonstop" was an album track that later got promoted as a single, but never really got a push because "In My Feelings" was still going strong. As for Shawn... he's nowhere near as big as Taylor ever was, and "If I Can't Have You" is also his highest peaking song to date. So... the comparison you're trying to make is a false one. Nice try, though.
