I do like them but also I get that after her whole drama this year the concept of robot overlords is a little uncomfortable. they just feel super dilettante-y to me and it makes me cringe, and i'm not quite ready to appreciate the irony just yet 5 hours ago, Unoriginal said: the 1-2-3 rosalia-grimes-blood orange punch charcoal baby collecting all the acclaim whilst the album is paid dust tho it's what he deserves honestly 5 hours ago, Navyofbadgals said: this last update made several points American Guilt makes me feel things too Maybe I have some punk characteristics about m 4 hours ago, Beyonnaise said: Bartier Cardi is her best song, it goes so hard The WAP lyrics are a bit on the nose but thematically they fit really well so I'm conflicted curious to see how the album turns out 4 hours ago, Tom Vercetti said: The early 2018 days of me slightly overplaying American Guilt Can't get into anything Joji/Pink Guy related. volition Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 80. Derecho de Nacimiento - Natalia Lafourcade while i don’t understand the lyrics, this is really beautiful and natalia is an excellent vocalist. i don’t know if this is a big deal or not for the genre, doesn’t seem like it, but every moment of it sounds lovely to my ears, specifically for example when the backing vocals come in towards the end. musica nueva canción latinoamericana 79. Canary Yellow - Deafheaven pretty good, the last part of it is my favourite i guess. i still do not like this band very much. musica blackgaze 78. Shoota (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) - Playboi Carti can you even get more likable than uzi musica trap rap 77. The End of Love - Florence + the Machine did this dream actually happen? because if it didn’t i feel like it is a stupid idea. the harmonies in the chorus sound like going to heaven, perfectly appropriate for her signature dramatic extraness. ‘the end of love’ indeed. musica chamber pop 76. Hurt You - The Weeknd nearly went for call out my name because despite being huge i still love that song, but this one is a little darker, and his falsetto remains as stunning as ever. i don’t really have a prediction for his next release but if he’s not going to reach the mixtape heights again then i’d like to see him experiment a little more. musica alternative r&b 75. Countin' Up - Rico Nasty i know she’s pretty popular but i noticed her thanks to tbd promo so thank u. she is so good like honestly, please come in and fill the niches of all these female rappers who are currently self-destructing. musica hardcore hip hop 74. The Magnificent Moon - Midlife this came out in 2017 i think, but i have to include it because i wrote it down in notes at the beginning of the year as a song to put on my year end list (the only one i ever wrote down). relistening to it, i’m glad i did because it’s a kind of smooth funky spacey psychedelic disco jam and i love it, it kind of reminds me of the ending of st. vincent’s surgeon. i just see now they apparently released a song this year too? maybe it should’ve been the one. musica psychedelic rock 73. Blue Lights - Jorja Smith cool trip-hop influenced song on an album that doesn’t really have many interesting moments. it’s different because it feels like it has a purpose. portishead-lite musica contemporary r&b 72. Half Life - Smerz this is very deconstructed club (can you tell i’m not really feeling like writing descriptions today) .t indieheauxs ? musica deconstructed club 71. Party Here - Octavian the best british banger since pixie lott’s ‘mama do’ musica alternative r&b

Tom Vercetti Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Deafheaven is bleh. Shoota is heat Hurt You isn't near my highlights on the ep but not bad, and blue lights is one of the less boring moments on Lost & Found.
Eeveelution Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I've been meaning to check the Natalia album, seems interesting. I don't remember much of Die Lit tbh, but that song is probably a bop. Lights and The End of Love.

Sbbmsve Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Countin' Up It looks like I need to check Jorja and SMERZ
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 20, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 20, 2018 TEOL - Hurt You - Countin Up the back to back talent Blue Lights and Half Life too I was gonna include Blue Lights on my list but rym says it came out in 2016 even though Spotify says 2018
Vilppu Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 blue lights is one of my favourite jorja songs but isn't it like 84 years old love hurt you (and good call on COMN being the other highlight) and shoota too
Pink Matter Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Blue Lights and Hurt You I know Blue Lights is old but I still ended up putting it on my list too lol

volition Posted December 21, 2018 Author Posted December 21, 2018 70. Black Paint - Death Grips kinda boring honestly, i’m bored of death grips, but here’s their one slot per artist allotment. musica noise rock 69. Party For One - Carly Rae Jepsen y’all are lame for calling this too basic, or a disappointment. i think it’s shows more personality than a lot of her emotion era songs honestly. (this was at one point a natalie portman song from vox lux cause it gave me major farrah abraham vibes which was hilarious to me but then i realised i forgot about this) musica electropop 68. VENGEANCE l VENGEANCE (feat. JPEGMAFIA & ZillaKami) - Denzel Curry album was disappointing, but here he takes the opportunity to go hard and runs with it, with great guest spots (notably jpegmafia). musica trap rap 67. Disappointing Diamonds Are The Rarest of Them All - Father John Misty basically a beatles song, but good on father john misty for deciding to make his production actually engaging this time. musica piano rock 66. All Mine - Kanye West controversy aside, this is pretty revealing. musica pop rap 65. Butterflies - Kacey Musgraves figured i might as well give her a slot to be nice, and i do actually think butterflies is pretty cute. unfortunately she kind of ruins it by making the melody bad after it was good. musica country pop 64. You Let My Tyres Down - Tropical **** Storm pretty enjoyable, kinda like a less psychedelic kg&tlw. rym calls it ‘punk blues’ which sounds apt i guess. the song shows off a lot of stylistic influence throughout its runtime and it makes for a dense, wild, and interesting rock song in the rock is dead era. musica punk blues 63. Naysayer, Magick Obeyer - Clarence Clarity just as late 1990s/early 2000s’d as his rina stuff, honestly can’t get enough of that specific era of throwback sound. musica glitch pop 62. Crayons - Cupcakke other songs have better bars, or harder flows (cartoons, quiz...), and it’s not even the lgbt theme that puts this song here, but that unbelievably sticky horn riff in the background, which is just so outright enjoyable. big ups to cartoons tho. actually lets just say: crayons / cartoons. ok and quiz musica pop rap 61. Marijuanaut's Theme - Sleep tom v beat me to this one, but it’s a worthy choice from the album. it’s heavy and atmospheric, but still purposeful and kinda epic. the sound is easily accessible too. musica stoner metal
ultraviolence.xx Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 party for one rustles my jimmies gonna pretend i didn’t see the kanservative song

Cupcakke’s instrumentals are so underrated. That flute in LGBT was everything. — All Mine was cute but I only used it for a day or 2. —- The Kacey hate is not cute.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 21, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 21, 2018 Quiz is like the upgraded version of Cartoons tbh.
