Welcome castaways to your 7th results show! Below will be the rates of each entry from the judges. You were all rated on a scale of 1 to 10. Your average score will be combined into an average which will determine who wins the challenge.

After I reveal the scores, I will post the final results which will include how you ranked against all castaways, and finally the overall rankings after this round.

The top two tribes with the highest average scores this round will win immunity.

With that said, here are the scores…

 

 

Buddy! - It’s Not Right But It’s Okay - Whitney Houston

• Dylan - 7 - I think this works well enough. She’s certainly had enough and her boyfriend seems like a loser. It’s a little more about infidelity than other aspects of a bum partner, but I like that she’s done being his fool.
• T-Swizz - 7 - Whitney’s significant other is definitely not taking responsibility for his actions and refusing to be transparent with her. It doesn’t necessarily go in depth about him being a bum, more so about him supposedly cheating.
• Prézli - 3 - In the song, Whitney breaks up with her man because he had a dinner with another woman. She wouldn’t like to save this relationship, she just wants him to move out. Your submission missed the mark.

 

305 - Complicated - Avril Lavigne

• Dylan - 3.5 - Ehh, this is pretty far off, but I at least see where you were going with it. Complicated could be applied to a relationship, sure. The issue is that Complicated is about how sometimes we or people we know pretend to be something we’re not, and that’s frustrating. But, that’s normal when you’re growing up. I mean, Complicated is pretty much the ultimate teen angst anthem. This round is more about grown adults still being in that stage of unknowing.
• T-Swizz - 2 - I never really used to think too deeply about Avril songs when she used to be popular because it always seemed self-explanatory. This was pretty clearly about an individual with an identity crisis, which is something almost every teenager can relate to. I don’t really see how it relates to the prompt though.   
• Prézli - 1 - Did you know that Complicated was the umpteen attempt for Avril to have a proper debut song? This song is about the circle of life. As she says, you fail, you break, but you’re going to find peace in your life. There’s not even a mention about a difficult relationship at all.

 

EriKills - Potential Breakup Song - Aly & AJ

• Dylan - 6 - I think the attitude is there on this song, but the only real indication of him being a loser and not just a dick is that he forgot her birthday. Greatest song of all time, but I don’t know how well it fits this round overall. Okay choice.
• T-Swizz - 7.5 - So they’re giving him an ultimatum to either care more about the relationship or they’ll end it but they don’t necessarily articulate too well how exactly he’s slacking. However, it does encapsulate the theme of frustration and how one side is severely lacking.
• Prézli - 9 - This is a fresh break-up which is not on point (as the round was about still being in a relationship), but I like when they blame the boyfriends for forgetting their birthdays and tell them that they’re losers without the Michalka sisters. Not perfect, but you did pretty well.

 

KatyCatPH - Mannequin - Katy Perry

• Dylan - 5.5 - To your credit, she mentions how her boyfriend isn’t a man. But, it’s because he’s cold and unaffectionate with her. She feels he’s like a mannequin because of that. It’s not necessarily because he’s a loser. Not the worst in the bunch this round, but not the strongest either.
• T-Swizz - 6 - It seems like he’s not completely on board with this relationship just yet and she blames his lack of “manhood” for it. There seems to be a severe lack of emotional communication which could be deadly for a relationship, but I don’t really see how he’s a bum.
• Prézli - 6 - In the song, Katy’s boyfriend has no feelings towards her, that’s why she calls him “mannequin” and “toy”. It’s clear that the relationship fails because of him, but actually, she can’t make him love her again. Furthermore, the boy is not lazy for doing things for her (even though, she might treat him too well). This entry would have been worse. (I wish you would get out of the Katy-Perry-discography bubble one day. :|)

 

MusicLoverDude - Busy Doing Nothing - Crystal Kay

• Dylan - 10 - I feel like most my scores to you have been in the middle thus far. But, this is exactly what we wanted this round. He sucks, but it’s not just because he sucks. It’s because he’s a bum that can’t grow up. Great job.
• T-Swizz - 10 - I’m genuinely shocked! This is a great entry and definitely unique choice. Loves it.
• Prézli - 10 - Your best entry in the game BY FAR.

 

 

K$Ellie - Trainwreck - Banks

• Dylan - 4.5 - Okay, she wanted to save him and for that she’s been sort of trapped in the relationship. This is kinda too dark to fit this round. He’s more than a bum or a loser. It’s more like he’s broken or even abusive really. I sort of get why you sent this, but it’s not the best choice.
• T-Swizz - 4 - Banks sounds ridiculously pretentious here and the lyrical content has little to do with the theme ar hand.  
• Prézli - 4.5 - I don’t exactly get why you sent this in. He was saved from the depression by her, but she couldn’t take care of him enough and now she’s like a hostage in the relationship as he doesn’t want to let her away. I think this is rather about getting out of a toxic relationship despite treating someone too well.

 

Moonlightbae - Bills, Bills, Bills - Destiny’s Child

• Dylan - 10 - Easy 10.
• T-Swizz - 10 - TASTE.
• Prézli - 10 - Duh, so obvious.

 

kiiwii - In My Feelings - Lana del Rey

• Dylan - 6.5 - I’ll give you that she’s for sure falling for losers. The problem is she’s still trying to figure out why and what to do about it. Decent choice.
• T-Swizz - 7 - I actually had no idea this was about G-Eazy until I read into it. She mentions “loser” in the song which is good but it doesn’t really detail how he lacked in the relationship.
• Prézli - 4.5 - Did you really send in this song when Video Games exists? Are you F@&!ING kidding me? Lana explains in the track that she keeps falling in love with losers who cheat on her. In the beginning, she accepts her destiny, but in the chorus, she has a conversation with him and she’s ready to leave later. Lana keeps pushing herself into problematic relationships, so I don’t think he’s not the main issue in this process.

 

PoKiTaurus - Hot N Cold - Katy Perry

• Dylan - 5 - This is more about dysfunction than someone having enough of their partner’s ****. She’s annoyed that he’s constantly contradicting himself but it’s not really about being a loser that can’t put their 50% in. The attitude in the track is good, but the lyrics aren’t as favorable.
• T-Swizz - 6 - This seems like a toxic relationship to me where they seem to be constantly fighting over something and there isn’t really much stability. He’s definitely not putting his fair share of work in but I don’t really see the loser aspect to this.
• Prézli - 7 - This track is about an on-off relationship between Katy and her boyfriend. Katy criticises him for being too girly and changing his opinion all the time which affects their relationship. In the chorus, she explains he’s lazy to save their relationship, so you somewhat choose a fitting-by-70% track.

 

kipperskipper - Circle the Drain - Katy Perry

• Dylan - 10 - I feel a little bad comparing addiction to being an asshole, but the chorus hits the nail on the head here. She’s fed up from putting in so much work and it definitely shows.
• T-Swizz - 10 - Perfect! A discography highlight as well.
• Prézli - 9 - Katy wanted to change Travie McCoy’s habit which affected and later ended their relationship. Interesting aspect that fits the theme well, but there are stronger entries this round.

 

Scene. - Keri Hilson - Buyou

• Dylan - 9.5 - I was hoping this would be sent in. One of the first songs I thought of. The chorus ventures a little far into independent women business, but this is still one of the best entries this round. He’s become a bum and she’s laying it down.
• T-Swizz - 10 - I love everything about this apart from the fact that Keri Hilson sang this….!
• Prézli - 10 - Ugh, Keri has such a flawless discography. Great choice.

Xedretinz Lododnz - Lily Allen - Not Fair

• Dylan - 2 - She actually really likes this guy, but they have no sexual chemistry because he orgasms in 3 seconds. I guess that’s flopping? But she’s genuinely upset and disappointed that this guy she likes emotionally doesn’t connect well with her sexually. I don’t think that’s exactly him being a complete loser unable to take any responsibility.
• T-Swizz - 3 - Well he’s definitely a LOSER in bed but other than that I don’t really see a solid argument.
• Prézli - 4 - In the first verse, Lily adores a boy whom she’s highly interested in, but it turns out that he’s not too talented in bed. He could have been the one, but ends up as a loser instead. Yeah, the man is a flop, but she’s not giving him an ultimatum (plus she’s rather disappointed) and that’s missing.

thecptz - Stronger Than Me - Amy Winehouse

• Dylan - 7 - This is an absolute nightmare to read the lyrics to, omg. But, if we’re going by Amy’s logic, she does consider him a loser and to not be putting his half in. She’s had enough, but there’s no direct ultimatum. She’s just pleading. Overall, one of the better choices this round.
• T-Swizz - 8 - She’s definitely more clear about how he’s slacking in comparison to other entries.
• Prézli - 8.5 - Another girly boy. She doesn’t like the way he is - the lyrical content explains it a bit harsh. This song is not truly about what he’s not doing for their relationship, but you kind of grabbed the theme at a point where Amy had enough of him.

wesleywalrus - Matt Bianco - Get Out of Your Lazy Bed

• Dylan - 6 - I mean, there ARE traces of this round present lyrically. She goes out all the time/sleeps all day. He’s annoyed by that and ready to kick her to the curb (possibly physically). Doesn’t have the attitude needed to pack a punch or enough lyrics to compensate for that though.
• T-Swizz - 4 - I don’t really see how there are strong elements of the prompt lyrically.
• Prézli - 2 - What? No.
