the facts are the industry was 38b in 1997. While streamong has increased revenue  the past 18 months, the industry remains billions and billions behind 1997.

 

If the article is correct, that is a 3 billion dollar gain in 33 years. Falling way below any inflation.

 

Streaming won’t pay the bills, and the industry in fact is dead (when compared to what it was) and will be reinvented, with lower overall revenue due to the change to stresming vs vinyl and CD in the past,

 

anybody that cheers a 10 percent increase in revenue over 33 years really lacks business acrimen and doesn’t understand inflation.

anyone who denies the impact streaming is having on growing the industry lacks business acumen 

 

comparin the industry now to back in 1997 when people had to buy a full disc just to hear a song, instead of maybe 5-10 years ago when piracy was rampant and sales were steadily declining

Cole & Kendrick are pretty much on the same level stop acting like they are even close to drake even post Malone who is bigger than both on streaming couldn’t get more than 3

Maybe it's a good thing that Nonstop didn't hit #1. It would have spent like 2 weeks in the top 10 tying Fantasia's record for #1 hit with less weeks in the top 10
