There are likely a few components all at play here:
~the 'surprise release' is stale now
~people are starting to feel their marriage/music is contrived/calculated now
~people weren't here for a collab album
~the quality of the music is simply not as good as Lemonade

I know people like to think that Beyonce is untouchable/unfloppable but every single huge pop star will under perform eventually which is why every stanbase has to take the L at some point. People should remember that before dragging others’ favs. Although I'd wait and see how the next solo Bey album performs before making and judgments about her star power.

 

Congrats to Xtina. I think everyone on here was way off base with their predictions. Many people on here were predicting 20-40 WITH tour bundles. I’m happy for her. Liberation is a quality album. Most of her fans are realistic and know she’s never going to relive her 99-2008 days, but she’s still around, booking high profile performances, her tour is selling well and she’s delivered a quality, critically acclaimed album 20 years into her career. Most girls would kill for that.
