so close :rip: their fans are definitely gonna get them the #1 once they see this.

I can't at Charlie Puth probably struggling to reach 200k by the end of the year when he has had tons of big hits in the last couple of years :rip:

I believe there are more than 100K Asia American living there so it's not like it's impossible for an Asia act to smash. Just that this group is nothing special than other K-pop acts.

I'm Asian. I understand what you said but the fact that K-pop is the most popular genre in Asia and i guess it's kinda same for Asian America.

I have nothing against an Asian act to top Billboard charts but i really don't think they deserve all success they have had. Their music is not better than other k-pop groups like Big Band, SNSD, 2NE1, Super Junior.... tbh.

Do you really think that all Asians speak Korean? ? BTS are becoming big in other Asian countries at the same time they have broken through in the states.

And since it's clearly a fan campaign :!ohno:. If they can manage to stay stable the second week then i might change my mind that American really likes them, otherwise, it's just a fans thing.

What in saying is you’re down playing their mass appeal and fantastic marketing and work ethic

You missed my point completely girl. Read the post right above you. Like majority of people who listen to music in Asia would listen to K-pop. Asia America won't be much different. Sooner or later there will be an act that breakthrough to western market. just don't understand why it's BTS.

We'll all boybands are driven by fans to an extent. The same was with 1D and nobody held that against them.

Their last album decreased by 50% in week 2 and is still in the charts 8 months later so they're clearly not doing terribly

I'm not a fan of them either,

neither is 5 seconds of summer.

But 1D's success is more understandable since their genre is basic pop that normal western teenagers could easily into. If BTS did a same genre, then it would be more understandable. Their genre is completely different to people who ain't Asians and it's in Korean. So let's get real. Do you really think American really likes their music or just the fans thing?

Well, i could be wrong, but it's what i think.

In addition, it was kinda surprised at 5 seconds of summer success too but they didn't last long and nowhere to compete with 1D.

I don’t care for much of his music, but come through Post. Get the college jocks to buy that trash of yours.
