Neat. Change the content tag to rate pls, it's blending in with the rest of the base threads.

What about a rate with some of the latest (1 year-ish or newer) comeback albums that flopped completely or underperformed? Maybe called “The Flop Comebacks of 2017."

Here’s a list of potential albums, not final. I’m not sure if any of these have been used in rates before... but the list can be added to definitely anyways (specifically male artists) if y'all have any suggestions. Btw, I'm considering a comeback is at least 2.5 years between albums, and I'm not counting Dead Petz for Miley.

Miley Cyrus - Younger Now

Fergie - Double Dutchess

Paramore - After Laughter

Kelly Clarkson - Meaning of Life

I would include Katy but her album has been used :jonny:

If this were to happen I could not do it right away since I’m hosting an in-base 5H rate rn. I could start it in two or three weeks if it were approved however.

So what are your thoughts on this y'all?

That lineup :soda:

That lineup looks good except 1994.

@Ace Reject I'd love to do another Alternative Rate. The last one in 2014 was successful.

Coldplay's "O" won, and this track flew up the charts last week thanks to the Winter Olympics. So ATRL was right and the rate wasn't useless :clap3:

For 2017, I'd love to do

-- The National

-- The War On Drugs

-- Paramore

-- The XX

A very diverse lineup that is under the Alternative umbrella

Spoiler

I'll host This Was 1990-1994 after the Alternative Rate. Deal?

What about if we rated every single number one song obviously the list would be way to long now but we could do it yearly and the the top song from each year then goes into a final rate of each top song for each year I mean the rate would probably take over a year to decide what our fave number ever was but it would be pretty cool to do this :D

or we could create a rate based on the top 100 female most streamed non singles

Younger Now and Meaning of Life will be in THIS WAS POP 2017 Part 2, along with Beautiful Trauma and Tell Me You Love Me - do you want to host that instead?

At least one of The National or TWOD are in This WAS 2017 Part 2; I believe both are. Check in with @Tom Vercetti or @Pink Matter - one of them is hosting it!

They weren't included in the final lineup you posted. But that would be great too. I can easily find replacements

Wouldn't be able to host a rate until some time this summer unfortunately Ace so that's all Tom's. I'd imagine both (or at least either one of) The National and TWOD would be snatched up for a TW 2017 rate though.

Father John Misty, who no one wants to use for TW2017, is free!

TWOD for part 2. You can have The National for your rate.

Gorillaz's LP was one of my least favorite albums of 2017. Such a disappointing comeback. Paramore is much better.
