Yeah, but even then! Prism was Katy’s followup to a blockbuster, and had a blockbuster hit preceding it. She was still contextually aligned with the other ladies in that rate. In 2020, Katy Perry is not in conversation with Ariana Grande in any way, shape or form; to put them together is frankly insulting. Sorry to the Kats!

Charli will also be done wrong because not everyone gets hyperpop.
