Galah Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Episode 3 Congratulations & Farewells With the average revenue calculated (based on a 1:1 ratio with average Global PHU per song submitted), it's clear to see that @Gastrodonatella is currently the resident go-to hitmaker at Platinum Records. Congratulations, that's quite an average. Formerly retired songstress @Temporal has proven there's still more in the tank and Drag Race alumna @Citrus squeezed every last bit of creative juice to land a spot in the Top 3 for the first quarter of the competition. Congratulations to these three talented writers… but don't get complacent. This is just the beginning. Unfortunately today is bittersweet, because while there is much to celebrate, this is also the day we begin letting go of demo songwriters who for one reason or another just weren't able to find their footing in today's cut-throat music industry. Whether it was timing or a lack of promo, we're sorry to see you go. @PoKiTaurus Your time in this season may have been shorter than expected, but "You" certainly will be on our minds for a while… what a song! There were some ups and downs for you this season but you never gave up and submitted two 6+ scoring songs, which is definitely something to be proud of. @RihsusChrist(ATG) You've had a turbulent relationship with some Platinum Hitters in the past, but that didn't stop you from proving you're not to be messed with when it comes to songwriting. Every song you submitted scored higher than your last, and that is something which should be commended. @SeanKevinMusic It's so nice when we see fresh faces around the Platinum Hit circles because unfortunately we haven't had a batch of newbies for a while. You've clearly got a passion and aptitude for music already, but hopefully you've taken a thing or two out of your experience in Platinum Hit. @Xedretinz Lododnz You stepped it up in a big way this season, and the continual increase in scores from episode to episode is testament to that. You and the others are always welcome in the Discord and we all hope you'll stick around until the comeback round because we all know that there's so much more in you. @Corsola Timing wasn't your friend this season, but "Petals" will likely remain in the season-end Top 10, which is a fantastic achievement. That really was a moment. Wishing you well with your exams.

But then I kind of second-guessed myself and went the more artistic route when writing the rest of the song but I LOVE the finished product and I definitely feel like it's a much better song the way it is than if I tried to make it more commercial, although I'm not sure if I would've peaked higher if I made it more commercial tbh "You were so close!" There needs to be a certain amount of people for next round to work, so I was going to contact you to be on standby if someone did drop out, but it all happened so quickly. You deserved to be higher than #19 anyway imo!
