Give Your Heart A Break, peaked at #16. I’m kinda confident BMH can go top 15 in 2 weeks, we’ll see

Oh right I forgot about the first radio fueled hit :eli:

Yeah I do think this will def go Top 15 cuz I don’t see why the great updates will suddenly stop in the next 2 weeks

It makes no sense to compare when radio has been losing so much power. Before 2018 only a total of 4 pop radio number-ones missed the Top 10 on the Hot 100, while in 2018 alone 4 songs did so. Also Close to Me (2018) was #2 on pop / #1 on HAC that year and it peaked at #24 on the Hot 100.

Less people listening to radio and dead sales, which used to be the huge advantage for pop and directly impacted by airplay.

Mediabase peaks this year:

Blinding Lights: 160m

Circles: 145m

Say So: 143m

Memories: 141m

DSN: 139m

Compare to:

Happy (2014) : 305m

All Of Me (2013) : 272m

Shape of You (2017) : 250m

That's What I Like (2017) : 230m

And talking about Break My Heart:

The radio number that used to count for the Hot 100 was approximately Mediabase (kworb) x 0.72 two months ago. On June 1 it was reduced for the 2nd week in a row, down to Mediabase x 0.48.

BMH radio with old formula: 67.30m

BMH radio with new formula: 44.87m

~22.5m less audience counted for the H100. Just two months ago the prospects for a Top 10 would have been very good. It's not a smash hit, but nothing fishy going on either.

I think the following example illustrates it very well:

March 23: (normal H100 formula)
Billboard Hot 100: #18 (+8) My Oh My

Chart positions:

Radio: #14 (72m)
iTunes: 73
Spotify: 62
Apple Music: 228

July 7: (significantly reduced radio impact)

Billboard Hot 100: #20 (+3) Break My Heart

Chart positions:

Radio: #9 (86m)
iTunes: 34
Spotify: 47
Apple Music: 110

They'not even trying with streaming, the song is not even in Top 25 on TTH (it peaked on #26 if I'm not wrong) . They're pushing hard on radio but zero on streaming.

Dua sis slow down we need to peak in 2 weeks :jonny5:

If it peaks next Monday it will be useless because she will be blocked by 450 Juice Wrld songs  :rip:

This is Dua on POP she'll take just as long to decline as she did to rise.

Adore You could be back in positive bullets tomorrow.

Break My Heart could be #1 this week. And I expect Watermelon Sugar to take over the following week. Funnily enough it would be the second time Harry Styles replaces Dua Lipa at #1 on pop this year.
