Interesting updates today, bigger than usual, although that's how they should be every day. WS is a monster and it's definetely going #1 fast. A ballad doing this well during Summer reminds me just of "Stay with Me", great for Capaldi. Interscope giving the final push to "Falling", I kinda dislike when labels do that, mostly because of the weak callouts it's receiving right now. These were some of its Spotify updates that week: 04/26: #85 - 277k streams 04/27: #81 - 296k 04/28: #76 - 304k 04/29: #83 - 295k 04/30: #90 - 290k 05/01: #98 - 328k 05/02: #92 - 329k 05/03: #93 - 299k It was also OUT of the Top 200 on AM (on the other hand BMH is #128 with the Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD album bombs + its streams on Spotify are pretty stable around 400k-500k) MOM’s performance simply was not strong enough to warrant a Pop #1 despite having the most negative reception by radio listeners. No wonder it got DROPPED like a rock the following week. The song was rightfully dragged by everyone in the airplay thread not just me/Dua stans/the OCH. BMH is #8 in the July 3rd update with 6 songs from 2019 above it. And its competition is songs like Falling that is below BMH on callouts... Meanwhile, MOM had a random week at #1 when huge hits SS, BL and AY were all exploding, MOM getting a boost was way weirder and payolad, especially considering that it was lingering in the 80s on Spotify when it hit #1.... If BMH is "on its way out" when it's #45 then what are positions 40 SPOTS below that on Camila's best performing platform? these simply are not similar situations.
