I do, but I don't think a +0.200 overall net increase is worthy of a whole post.

:deadbanana:

Posting iTunes positions of the top 100 only is misguiding, since both of those songs have multiple versions in the top 1500.

Digital Songs Sales:

#20. How Long (Peaked at #8)

#44. Lights Down Low (Peaked at #36)

Streaming Songs:

Both N/A in the top 50.

Lights Down Low is possibly one of the most radio fueled songs of all time (if not the most, Ne-Yo is shook).

Almost.

Lloyd’s “You” (2007) topped Radio Songs but was #55 in digital sales the week it topped radio :deadbanana2:

Max and Charlie are manspreading and radios encourage it; show as much crotch as possible; push the girls aside.

Are we forgetting that the vast majority of songs which topped the Hot 100 between 2001-2004 (and even well into 2005) never had a physical single release because of the dead sales market (i.e. "I'm Real (Remix)", "U Got It Bad", "Ain't It Funny (Remix)", "Foolish", "Hot In Herre", "All I Have", "In Da Club", "21 Questions", "Get Busy", "Drop It Like It's Hot", Yeah", "Burn" etc.) so their success was predominantly radio-driven anyhow even if by circumstance.

Now, even in 2006, although Digital sales had grown in prominence and become important, overall sales were still weak and radio was still weighed much heavier. There were only 16 weeks of that entire year that had sales of +100K and the majority of those weeks mainly came from the three same songs; SexyBack, Hips Don't Lie and Promiscuous.

You peaked at #5 on HDS in December 2006 and didn't top radio until March 2007 so I genuinely wouldn't call its success "radio driven". Furthermore, it topped overall radio with only 105M+ AI (Mediabase) which was a huge drop from Beyoncé's multi-format smash Irreplaceable which peaked at 230M AI 2 months before. The majority of its airplay came from Urban + Rhythmic, it peaked at #18 on Pop and didn't chart on UAC.

We Belong Together by MiMi was in the 20s on iTunes at some point back in 2005 but at no1 on the Hot100 due to just airplay. It never hit no1 on sales even though the airplay was gigantic.

Yeah, it was only #2. What a flop

And it only kept the album selling like hot cakes, ugh, disgusting, piece of trash of a single

Sis, I never said it was not a massive hit I the US.

We are talking about radio fueled hits and this one was. Had it not been for airplay it would have never hit no1 on the Hot100. It never hit no1 on sales. And there were weeks towards the end that it was at like no21 on sales but still no1 on the Hot100 due to its montrous airplay. These are facts. Not fake news. But that does not mean it was not a massive hit.

It looks like Havana is going to hit no1 on Hot AC too! It's getting closer and closer... Halsey is getting close too. Could both hit no1? Is Havana going to block Halsey completely? It's going to be interesting.
