No but there will be no point to push 'already peaked at #1' songs at all cuz they wont be charting anymore. It will accelerate their drops for sure.

It is not like Chappell has a new single out.. the radio has been dropping this song at an unusual fast pace... Is it something to do with her "attitude" controversies? It makes no sense. Songs like Austin and Make You Mine got pushed on Pop for like 6 months, while The Door and Stargazing continue to get pushed past 20 weeks. HOT TO GO was dropped at barely 10 weeks. And if it's due to her "attitude" controversies, then radio has no room to suddenly be a moral ground, considering they played known abuser Chris Brown's songs for well over a decade after he beat Rihanna, and Morgan Wallen's songs despite his using the racial slur and throwing the chair earlier this year.

Is it something to do with her "attitude" controversies? i love the song, but it wouldn't surprise me if ppl are just burned out on it atp. it's obviously very shouty and peppy, and that can get annoying quickly. sucks it's not doing more, but top 10 on pop/top 15 on h100 is v respectable considering the unconventional rollout of her singles atm. now let's just hope the gp are much bigger fans of "pink pony club" so it'll be smashing early next year just in time for her aoty win 1
corotinho Posted November 18 Posted November 18 It looks like no other song will ever beat Calm Down's weeks on Mediabase's POP top10

pride4jc1222 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 So basically, a song that never charted on the Hot 100 (Make You Mine) and the biggest song of the year (A Bar Song) spent exactly the same number of weeks on the Mediabase Pop chart. 1

Ye like when a song was fizzling but close to a milestone #1, top 5, or top 10. Suddenly it gets massive updates for a week to snatch it, and then freefalls. Billboard should rename it the Payola Songs Chart. 2 2
