Good Luck Babe's huge drops are so odd. It's still doing really well on streaming and Chappell is massive in general right now, so you'd think pop radio would want to hold onto that. Is it getting really bad callouts?

 

Austin FINALLY in striking distance of the Top 10 on overall radio, two or three more overall AI updates like today's should do it

Personally I'd prefer dark mode updates since I find the giant white square that surrounds the update distracting (and lowkey painful for my eyes ) Don't really have a strong colour preference, but the darker ones (Dark Cyan or Dark Emerald) will probably be easier on the eyes if the updates switch to dark mode.

Good Luck Babe dropping is the right call. Chappell has another song, HOT TO GO, on the rise. Holding on to GLB would have hurt HOT TO GO's rise.

 

Just look at what's happening with Taste. Pop radio refusing to let go of Espresso (as well as PPP) is really starting to hurt its rise. HOT TO GO has been out gaining Taste in most recent days.

good luck babe did what it needed to do. Hot To Go is gonna start getting big updates soon to replace GLB. 
 

it's the more familiar song. HTG always felt bigger than GLB to me. The dance is mega viral, it's on commercials, the song is mega viral. Its video is well known at this point. 
 

Sports season is starting up and people love using HTG in stadiums and parks

That's not how it works. The CanCon rule is for small local Canadian artists that make music in Canada on Canadian record labels. Artists like Lu Kala, Virginia to Vegas, Jamie Fine, etc. This doesn't apply to artists like the Weeknd, Tate, Justin Bieber..

Sabrina has never been a darling on Canada, in fact it seems like the least supportive anglophone country. She has yet to have a #1 on that country so for me it's no surprise at all.

with how colossal this streaming smash is, and its impressive numbers on Shazam, I have no choice but to believe radio programmers hate that she's pushing 40. it's ridiculous. Like, aren't yall supposed to play HITS?
