Why are there so few pop radio adds lately? Less stations or just slow for new music?

 

I know there are slow weeks but it feels like it's for a month now at least.

I know there are slow weeks but it feels like it's for a month now at least.

There is a general drought in terms of new music and, at the same time, radio programmers seem to have decided that the most played songs currently are solid enough to stay that way without much change. Hence, also the considerably slow updates.

It's this. Typically I am extremely sick of the songs that are top 5 on radio by the time they get there. But currently Too Sweet, A Bar Song, Espresso, I Had Some Help, Goodluck,Babe are still my top songs of the moment. They are not getting old and I am happy to hear these on power rotation until September.

its the only 'summerish upbeat club' song up there I think thats why shes passing. Tay was a slow song.

Well, actually it happened almost a week ago (on Thursday), that's when Z100 chnages their Power list, thus, this is the impact of that decision.

It's kinda crazy how small stations have dropped it, yet it's still strong on big stations.
