Well, even though those songs with mediocre callouts went #1 they immediately started to freefall. Callouts matter the most in the long run. WWIMF? has been hurt the most because of the slow tempo Pop radio hates and there were already two singles promoted by the same project. Plus, it's Billie we're talking about, Pop has always treated her pretty badly compared to the airplay she deserves. 3

Why must you constantly hate on both of my faves Billie deserves this airplay so much, and so does Miley. Both of them were unfairly snubbed by radio in the past. 1

They mean something, they are just one more indicator to take into consideration. Billie's song had GREAT streams for weeks 3 months ago when the movie came out, it is still holding nicely and it has great callouts. There are many cases of radio playing random flop songs daily, but this is not one of them. 1
