because it hasn’t peaked on radio? if anything this shows that it peaked on POP but have you not seen it gaining on HAC and AC? we can’t ignore information just to build a narrative.

 

also it hasn’t even peaked on pop, it’s one negative update which isn’t even bad at all. it’ll get more spins throughout the week.

And that's what means peaking. If it peaked on pop and start falling, HAC and AC will hold it's drops, but it means it won't be able to grow a lot on overall radio. The peak has been reached.

It should enter the Hot 100 this week with all the Travis Scott and Post songs falling off.

 

If I remember correctly, Sabrina’s Nonsense holds the record, peaking at #56. Mona Lisa isn’t going to come anywhere near that, so if it reaches the Top 10, it will set a new record.

Pop radio is all over the place right now with their choices, good with backing up BW, but Mona Lisa's updates don't make any sense. And to be fair, those gigantic "vampire" updates either, it's not necessarily having an outstanding performance, and the song doesn't scream summer. However, watching the whole landscape, I can understand they're desperate for a core artist (besides Taylor) to support.

words have meanings for a reason…you can’t just redefine what peaking means. when a song peaks on radio, it is not going up anymore from there and will only go down. the other radio formats supporting cruel summer will keep it gaining audience on radio, and pop hasn’t stopped spinning it yet.

yeah i don't think "bad idea right" will slow "vampire" in the next 2 weeks, especially since it's only just now starting to be on power rotation.

it might affect it's longevity though

But why is the GP Shazamming a song that already has 1B streams  

CS shaping up to be one of Taylor’s most streamed songs of all time and it still hasn’t even peaked  

 

I don’t think CS has peaked yet on radio tbh. The AC and HOT AC updates are massive and it still might grow more on pop with those call outs

Don't get me wrong, I love CS and I'm happy it becomes a hit but this is the first time it made it to mainstream radio. Calm Down has 1B streams too and it's currently top 3 on Shazam. CS did amazing elsewhere but its Shazam performance is surprisingly bad.
