Harry Styles - "Satellite"

I'm surprised this hadn't gone to adds yet. No wonder why the updates were bad until Sunday. I was getting worried this one was going to flop so hard. What took Harry's team way too long to do this?

Yeah that's a long time between songs 3 & 4. Maybe it's because AIW held back singles 2 & 3 and he thinks now AIW has weakened enough not to overshadow Satellite.

I wonder if Taylor will do the same with single 4 from Midnights. Or she might just go straight into lead single of Speak Now (Taylor's Version).

I think Taylor should push Cruel Summer once Karma has run its course. CS is probably going to overshadow any single that is pushed off SN TV. With the last TV, Taylor couldn't decide on whether to push Message in a Bottle or ATW, and neither lasted long. IKYWT (TV) ended up being the most played Red TV song on radio. (It's still in the Top 50 of Pop, lol.)

With Flowers still #1 radio after 3 months/13 weeks I think Miley shouldve waited a little longer as well. While streaming's prevalence has expanded significantly since 2016, remember the Chainsmokers waited 24 weeks before releasing Closer's follow-up to ensure the new song wouldnt be lost in the shuffle. I guess now the industry changed when everything available right away & now artists burn thru new albums in a few months. And this plays a part in increased ticket prices.

It’s either time to push Cruel Summer now or not at all. No use pushing it in the fall/winter :skull:

She can do a duel single push. Kinda like weeknd had Creepin’ and DFY.

Bakar's Hell N Back is gaining decently fast on Pop, 3 years after charting and peaking on Alternative (peaking in Top 10) and AAA (made it #1, at least on MB).

It's gonna miss the year-end Hot 100 #1 because of radio  :noparty:

Now I think Flowers will get it

Radio is way too slow. I’m sure I’m just preaching to the choir here and it’s a redundant sentiment but my god. Most of that top 10 was already charting high back in DECEMBER. Radio needs to move tf on sometimes, lol. Challenge your audience to learn to like new songs sometimes

Yeah, Sure Thing is the #1 we deserve after dealing with Flowers, Calm Down, Creepin, Kill Bill, and DFY dominating the Pop charts for months on end.

I just think radio needs to give more songs the Break My Soul run. It would freshen things up on radio, like the 1970s.

Spoiler alert: Die For You got the largest gain in the Top 10, while nonsense had the largest spin loss. (Of course, this would happen as Chemical approached DFY. I'm starting to think this whole chart is cursed and DFY will be on it until the second coming of Jesus.)
