I haven't been keeping up for the last week or two but how come Kings & Queens has managed to gain traction but her other singles didn't?

Is her label supporting her more now?

looks like US iTunes is now working just like UK one. there's no "today's new hits" (or whatever it was called) which included all new releases of the week, but this section which consists mostly on the biggest sellers at the moment from the highest track to the lowest on the chart.

this means that new releases don't automatically have home page exposure unless they reach the highest positions first + discounts may become a thing again cause they help you reach the highest positions and have home page exposure (in UK they're in fact quite common)

new additions are not always so immediate: looks like for the US it will be same cause "What that speed bout?!" is still missing for example.

Looks like you were right, I've noticed a ton of songs being discounted again since I saw this post.

Idk, but I remember Xmas song getting huge decreases on iTunes on Dec 25th on previous year. This Christmas seems to happen the opposite, maybe because there's no more Gift Card effect as we remembered. Ugh those were good times.

I miss the days of iTunes domination. I think it moving in real time made it exciting where we only get that on apple music and amazon charts.

Wow! Tag Team's Whoomp There It Is is #93 on ITunes. I never expected that song from 1993 to see the light of day again. Its 1 of the biggest #2 songs of all time, with 7 weeks #2, 15 wks T 3, 24 wks T 10, 41 wks T 40 & 45 wks H 100. The H 100 slowed substantially later in the 90s compared to its movement before 1995.
