Final Predictions

1. Perfect 513 (=)

2. Havana 446 (+1)

3. Rockstar 412 (-1)

4. No Limit 320 (=)

5. Thunder 316 (=)

6. Gucci Gang 254 (=)

8. Motorsport 249 (-1)

10. Bodak Yellow 232 (=)

16. Bartier Cardi 192 (-2)

I need Motorsport to at least hold on even if BY falls out of the top 10.

Finesse will replace BY and if MS and NL can hold on for a few weeks until after BC gets a video then maybe she can get 4 top 10s at once.

Havana needs to be remixed since it appears Filthy is not the threat. Finesse is.

Not overly confident in my predictions this week since I’m using HDD’s OD streaming #’s and some songs just seem off (and really high). But some of the #’s make perfect sense, so who knows?

Looking ahead to next week, Finesse can totally hit #1. Just needs over 40M streams on YT and OD, which I think is definitely reachable.

If Finesse blocks Havana's last shot

If Bruno & Cardi hit  #1 on the Hot 100 :jonny:

A PURE NEW JACK SWING SONG hitting #1 on 2018 :jonny:

When was the last time a song classified as "New Jack Swing" hit #1? 1995 with "This Is How We Do It"? I don't know when exactly the sub-genre faded.

My Prerogative as the last true New Jack Swing hit

Hell no. That song came out in the '80s, and New Jack Swing was popular well into the mid 90s. There were plenty of NJS hits/smashes after "My Prerogative."

I would imagine you hit it right on the nail because after that pop became a thing.

It was weird because gangsta rap did well between 93-97 and so This is how we do it kind of just snuck in after the new jack swing era was big late 80s-92

If Bruno manages to make this a trend then he needs to release one more single and then his next era needs to take the 90s sound further but less new jack but more 90s elements. It's working for him. That's what i like is proof of that

Not sure if it was technically classified as such but Family Affair by MJB was definitely a New Jack Swing song and it hit number 1

That song was much "harder" in sound than a typical NJS song, so I don't think anyone classified "Family Affair" as such. Hip Hop Soul, yes.

It’s not classified as a New Jack Swing song because that label is dated, however, it’s really no harder than Rump Shaker and it has every single element of new jack swing, including the ‘swing’ beat. You can almost hum Family Affair along to I Wanna Sex You Up.

Like Walk on Water his lead single isn’t trendy at all, it won’t do well but he’s beloved, he has the Super Bowl and SNL as promo, lastly his tour will score over 200m easily. So who cares.

The song is horrid, so there's plenty reason to care about that.

I don't think NJS will make a return...this is just a unique case and just won't be duplicated successfully

Right. It's not like "Despacito" made reggaeton, or Spanish-language songs as a whole catch fire. We had "Mi Gente (Remix)" and that was it. "Echame La Culpa" didn't really do anything. Sadly, nothing by Maluma or Nicky Jam did either.
