Oh believe me, I'm aware. I spent 13 years of my life living with an abusive addict. Only escaped it because he died. That's why this made me so mad. And that's exactly why I cheerlead and champion someone who's trying to get clean. Because they need it. Because they can't do it on their own. Because holding their past over their heads all the time doesn't allow them to change their future. It SHOULD be celebrated when someone decides to turn their life around. It's an amazing feat to get clean and stay clean. It's a daily battle. They have to make that choice each and every single day of their lives. Yes families and friends have to go through hell. I know that hell like the back of my hand. Yes they're deserving of cheerleading as well. But never, ever, ever stop supporting and cheering for and championing people who're fighting to get clean. Because if they don't have people in their corner cheering them on, they're not going to win that battle and then it just makes everyone involved's life worse. And it shouldn't just be up to the family to be those cheerleaders. Society needs to change how they discuss addiction and stop trying to shame people into getting sober and instead encourage them positively. The best thing you can do for families of people living with drug addiction is speak out loudly and forcefully about eliminating the negative dialogue that exists in our society around people with addiction. That negativity and dehuminization is exactly what encourages someone to continue rather than seek help for their illness.42 points

without the different mixes she would still be debuting top 2, sounds like a hit to me not every song is going to be a massive cultural moment or meme. holding an artist to that standard is ridiculous and you're clearly just setting up your own narrative for some boring stan war29 points

I hope they win. Just because Madonna's veteran fans are okay with her unprofessionalism doesn't mean it's okay. It is unacceptable and rude.25 points

Wait. I never thought of concerts starting late as "false advertising" but it kind of makes sense.... I'm actually all for this, if it leads artists to being on time more consistently, and/or encourages them to be more realistic in noting the show's start time.24 points

I think we can all agree that her heart was in the right place, and the core of what she was trying to convey was great. But the delivery and the words she chose were... not Poor Kelly, she got more lashings for trying to defend people than the actual racist she was trying to drag16 points

Y'all are weird. She's so disrespectful to people. If it's a 1-2 times thing, fine. But every night being late for 2+ hours... She's touring to take y'alls money while disrespecting you and y'all are like ''Yaaas queen, she ate that lateness. Mutha''15 points

This loser is nothing but a **** for brains right wing mouth piece who operates on shock value and hatred because that's all she has to offer the world. In years to come she will be remembered with the same fondness the world remembers people like Perez Hilton14 points

Until 2019 Ariana had no #1 and no one cared, now y’all want her to have the biggest hit every time she drops. It’s unrealistic mind you the song is 1 on Spotify global but yeah since it’s not smashing like a viral song y’all are doing the most. Only ATRL would think like this.13 points

She’s released two flop singles in a span of 5 years since 5H disbanded. At this point whoever keeps asking her about an album is just bullying her.12 points

“But nO ArTisT stArTs oN TimE!!!1” I have been to over 100 concerts, and Madonna is the only one that comes on at times like 10:45 PM. There’s a difference between being 30-45 mins late and what she does. It’s absurd and ruins the energy in the venue every single time. I have yet to see a show of her’s that started this late and didn’t have pockets of empty seats throughout the arena by the last few songs. Why she does this is beyond me, given so many people I know won’t see her again due to the late starts despite how good they think she was, but clearly it’s what she wants. It’s extremely disappointing as a huge fan, as her shows would be so much more fun if the audience wasn’t half asleep by the time she came on.12 points

The reach in here. ME! is garbage, yes, and? has a strong verse melody. And the chorus is not bad as ME! and the bridge is also way better11 points

Thank you for your question! Well, let’s look at the facts to find out. Her last three singles: •Save Your Tears (Remix): #1 •Die For You (Remix): #1 •yes, and?: #1 (estimated) Grande’s online store offered vinyls and CDs of the single. The first physical release of single sold out within minutes. The second release sold out as well. In addition, three different mixes of the song were able to top the chart on iTunes. The extended mix of the song topped the iTunes chart in over 70+ countries, surpassing the amount that thank u, next and positions had. If anything, this demonstrates the consumption and strength of her fan base has increased rather than decreased as you claimed. The evidence provided does not support your argument at this time. Therefore, the answer to your question is no. This case is closed.10 points

We should be celebrating sobriety because it is very difficult to maintain. It's a lifelong struggle. And this applies to EVERYONE, not just for celebrities and famous people. Major props to him for getting the help he needed and trying to stay on the right path for his career and his family.10 points

After lurking on this cursed site for quite some time, it’s only right that I debut in this thread during another manic, pre-era album ranking session! Here’s mine: 1. The Fame Monster 2. The Fame 3. Born This Way 4. A Star Is Born 5. Chromatica 6. Joanne 7. ARTPOP I’ve been following GÁR since I was 8 during PF’s single run. Been to 11 concerts, have 2 autographed CDs, an autographed vinyl (it’s Joanne mess ), and have met her 5-10 times in the city. Even snuck in some pap pics during her 2018 Electric Lady sessions. My Liddo stan card has some miles on it to say the least… I’ve been anticipating an LG7 2024 release for quite some time now, so quite excited we’re ~a month out. Hope she delivers her FLOWERS moment (i.e., unexpected, universal, runaway smash) with the lead single. I wouldn’t mind a similar funky/punky groove/aesthetic for the album either. And last but not least, JFAD later this year, which will arguably be the biggest platform of career thus far. Probably the most excited I’ve ever been for one of her projects yet, maybe besides BTW single/album releases. Can’t wait to spiral (either up or down) with the rest of y’all9 points
