If these people continued to insist that I was straight and spread rumors about how my hanging out with my female friends is actually me maintaining romantic relationships with them and that I only say I’m gay to get with women sexually, I would be very offended. Similarly, I’m mixed race (Black and White). I’ve had people ask me about my race and it’s a pretty clumsy conversation starter to begin with. But, I’ve had people challenge my race after I tell them what it is. “Are you sure you’re not just middle eastern? What about Brazilian?” Denying and questioning a person’s identity after they’ve told you the answer is always offensive. Taylor has stated her sexual orientation. She openly dates men. There is no reason to write conspiracies that her public relationships are just PR stunts to maintain the mirage that she’s a secret lesbian. Let’s be serious. These aren’t the same thing.
