You classifying Russia as a communist country is all the evidence one needs to show you have no idea what you are talking about18 points

You just said 3 different things. And you are wrong about each of them. I would like to engage in an actual conversation than tick off low deficient takes. I felt like I was in the comments section on Facebook for a second.18 points

My favorite thing about ATRL is when people who have thousands of posts on a pop culture forum attempting to call others in real life “too obsessed” with celebrities18 points

Taylor isn’t going to endorse a politician that is widely hated by the young people that consume her music. It’s pitiful that this is their desperate strategy rather than run on meaningful policy.17 points

Democrat lobbyists will try to do everything except do a fair primary to get panned, unelectable and senile Joe out from running second term that he will not win. Clowns.16 points

“The Color Purple,” a vibrant adaptation of the book-turned-beloved-movie-turned-hit-Broadway-musical, dominated at the box office on Christmas Day. The film has outperformed expectations with $18 million from 3,152 North American theaters. It’s the largest Christmas Day opening for a film since 2009, and the second-biggest Christmas Day opening of all time. Those ticket sales were enough to lead the way on Monday ahead of two other newcomers, Neon’s racing drama “Ferrari” and director George Clooney’s inspirational sports story “The Boys in the Boat.” Warner Bros. impressively held the top three spots on domestic charts as “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “Wonka” swam to second and third place, respectively. https://variety.com/2023/film/box-office/box-office-color-purple-christmas-day-aquaman-2-1235850527/amp/14 points

didn’t an israeli minister say that they don’t plan to stop the war even if hostages were returned? if that ******* state cared about hostages so much, it wouldn’t be bombing Gaza to shreds. It was never about the hostages or protecting that disgusting state.11 points

Rich celebrities do not represent the needs of the masses, no matter how hard corporate media or Democrats try to frame them as a leadership class.10 points

This is just stupid. You all are overstimating Taylor’s power. She just has a big fandom, but she doesn’t have any political power.10 points

Western millennials advocating and pushing for communism is troublesome, offensive, and largely out-of-touch. It is naive to believe that under communism everyone is equal, when the countries that have been under this ideology prove otherwise. Nepotism was rampant. If your relatives or parent ot whatever were part of the politburo, you were PRIVILEGED, plain and simple. There was a lack of basic necessities like toilet paper, female sanitary products, and foods that we take for granted now. Food was issued with coupons and you were only allowed a certain amount of basic goods (flour, rice, oil) based on the size of your family. You couldn't buy a car. You couldn't travel abroad. You couldn't build a house or buy an apartment. The state assigned you an apartment and you had no choice in selecting the city. You couldn't critcise the state party or the ideology itself. These are just a few of the things my parents and grandparents experienced during the socialist years of my Eastern European country. In 1944, the Red Army invaded my nation, launched a coup, slaughtered a bunch of people, and set up an emergency court where anyone who was considered an enemy of the state was sentenced to death with no trial. It is aggrevating that these aspects of communism are conveniently left out, or when they are mentioned, tankies take it as a joke and would often ridicule. Millions of people are left with generational trauma from these horrendous years. Communism is not only about the fiscal policies. Capitalism is flawed, I'm not denying that. But communism is not an instant overnight fix and it would certainly not be any better. A good communist is a dead communist. Period.10 points

I’ve done that as well. The Democrats are far too capitalist for me to want to willingly identify with.10 points

I think there's definitely an argument for doing something like this. Cocaine is a major part of the illegal drug trade and legalising will seriously damage criminal profits. The illegal drug industry is extremely damaging, not just for the people who buy drugs but for anyone who gets sucked into dealing or is trafficked by these gangs. Also legalising substances like coke allows regulation and at least if you're going to buy it, you know exactly what you're getting, it won't be adulterated with a whole bunch of other chemicals. I'm never going to be pro drug use, but unfortunately people are going to do drugs whether they're illegal or not. Better for it to be out in the open where people can be offered help and advice on dealing with their addiction.9 points

No other pop girl has the balls to start an era with a lead single like this masterpiece. The GP were not here for it at all, but it was ambitious. OT: yes8 points

The 3-hour video Anyway, communism doesn’t work and is hell on earth It’s basically transferring your rights and freedom to an elite and never have access to anything good again Capitalism has a lot of flaws but is still way way better And honestly the US has become more of an oligarchy than a capitalist country. I think is easier to balance capitalism and try to modify it into social democracy or something more balanced than its current state. People also confuse the words capitalism and corruption a lot online. The wave of communism in the last few years online is nothing more than ignorance and trying to be edgy I don’t think anyone really wants to live in a country like North Korea or Cuba.8 points
-
I guess me being a C-Pop (Chinese Pop) and V-Pop (Vietnamese Pop) fan is all just a figment of my imagination since you claim Communist countries don't have any form of entertainment. Please tell me anyone in the current Russian government who calls themselves Communist.8 points
