  4. How deep do Taylor's connections in the industry go? Which 14 y.o. could just knock on Britney's door and perform for her?

  5. The outright JEALOUSY in this thread Why do you care if it’s short-lived or PR’ed? The woman is getting railed tonight by the NFL’s best tight end after playing a sold out show in Buenos Aires while you scroll on Tik Tok and eat the last smudge of Ben and Jerry’s off the pint.

  9. SNL is just a bunch of washed-up and unfunny "comedians". I would like to say I'm shocked but I'm really not. Making (unfunny!!!) jokes about an ongoing genocide where +10,000 people have been killed (and none of them have even addressed it) is just the lowest of all lows. **** everyone involved. Meanwhile last year: But when we show the double standards or talk about how the media has completely dehumanized Palestinians (brown people in general tbf) and constantly uses them and their pain for comedic relief, we're called snowflakes/SJWs/easily offended twitter gays/etc 🥴

  10. I don't know why people think her songs taking months of playlisting and radio to do well is a flex. Atp in her career she should be a big enough name that people at least check her new releases right away. Even Katy managed that with POM and Roar

  20. Yeah, and I need to try and take a break from stanning. Sometimes I feel like Travis Kelce is my boyfriend because he's Taylor's, it kind of messes with my head which is why I'm taking a step-back from supporting Taylor to clear my head

  21. SNL, being out of touch with sensitive and current political climate while at the same time being utterly unfunny ? Quelle surprise Sensitive, humanitarian issues like this should not being used as joke methinks.

  24. Critics don't like when a woman is serving something new and different under her own individual formula - critics pretend they're progressive but they're actually incredibly prudish, sometimes dated, and gatekeeping regarding how music "should" sound. See how they responded to Born to Die initially last decade and now everyone and their mother is inspired by Lana and Lana is pinnacle of critical acclaim nowadays. PinkPantheress is making music that sounds like no one else out rn and they don't know what to make of it because it's not what they're used to calling "acclaimed" nowadays, which if we're being honest is people singing over minimalist midtempos or piano ballads with "relatable" lyrics. My prediction is that in a couple of years you will see a lot of artists inspired by PinkPantheress her new wave sound and will see some critics changing their opinions. I'm excited to see Pink's career because imo she is serving something so new and fresh and I urge people not to sleep on her. She's not serving top tier quality by any means but this immediate dismissal of her by critics as meh while a lot of worse is getting more acclaimed is fishy to say the least.

  25. No. We are on the right side of history. People want Poplor to die out, but she will never mothafucking fall. I hope TS11 is full on electropop or dance so me and @Taylor fanboy can win once again and enjoy the meltdowns

  26. This forum is insane We spend a week talking about how we need to be patient and Dua’s songs need time to peak and especially a pop solo song etc etc and since yesterday we are getting all the meltdowns cause this is not top5 everywhere 🤣

  34. I genuinely do not understand the ‘it sounds the same’ criticism. Let’s just go out on a limb here and say the entire album is still dance-pop but with psychdelic influences. Why is that labelled as a bad thing? So many artists have had relatively the same sound for their first three projects and still managed to succeed. Taylor had three pop albums in a row and they all smashed. Madonna had three dance-pop albums in a row, all smashed. Janet had three albums with New jack swing plastered across them, all smashed. And most of them were also received well critically, whether it was during their time or retrospectively. I celebrate artistic reinvention like no other but lets not act as if most artists didn’t really start getting into their artistic peak later in their career. There’s still time for Dua to completely let go of dance music later in her career.
