30. The Underside Of Power - Algiers

The lead vocalist of Algiers is a powerhouse, his gospel chimed belts backed by fast paced riffs makes this one of the most exciting postpunk jams of the year

 

29. The Cure - Lady Gaga

 

28. How Does That Make You Feel - Ariana and The Rose

For those on an FKA Twigs drought, Ariana gives her best impression and does not disappoint. Breathy vocals, sleek production and sheer longing that can be heard in each breath. The bridge is amazing

 

27. I Saw The End - Pallbearer

Pompous, overblown, too dramatic for it's own good. I love it! Reminds me of Metallica's 'One'. While it never reaches those same highs it's still filled with great vocal performances, a decent enough outro to airguitar to and a great follow up track to make it feel all the more satisfying.

 

26. Egoísta - Jessie Ware

The most unlikely culprit to join the Latin trend, Jessie effortlessly conveys the dissatisfaction with her lover on Selfish Love in Spanish. No robot mi gente vocals here, she sounds quite sexy in this tango for two.

I love the English version of Selfish Love but I can imagine it would sound good in Spanish too cause it kinda has that Latin vibe to it

This is actually probably my favorite Demi Lovato song. It's very signature to her style in over the top vocal-isms but it's got great style. I love the almost choir like background vocals on this that emphasize longing. There's almost a sense of delusion in this longing to.
