Ghostlysnaker Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Imagine Dragons "Thunder" > "Believer" in my opinion. I find "Swalla" super annoying 6/10
potent Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 The better ID song made it higher I use SNS and 24K too!
Remmy Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 Day 9 is here! Note that I'm seeing Pitch Perfect 3 tonight (as long as plans stay the same) so I might get interrupted at some point. Gonna post 3 categories today. DAY 8 REPLIES: Spoiler 19 hours ago, oceans said: if the take off Batty Who this update is full of talent Bellyache, omg i discovered it too late, so it couldn't make it Bettyache has talent I discovered it a little late as well Couldn't make my weekly countdown, but she made it on the bigger/better list yas! 19 hours ago, Lazuli said: Jack And that made it to #6 nnn What about him? Care to elaborate? Well I only saw 6 shows this year So it had to appear somewhere. 19 hours ago, Sunderland 4ever said: 037. Bruno Mars "24K Magic" Phew. Thankfully I've heard at least this one. I like it. You haven't heard either Imagine Dragons song? Kinda surprised by that. The rest were pretty easy to stay away from. 9 hours ago, grandewhispers said: Bellyache, surprised to see it here! Her best song tbh I'd say 2nd or 3rd best for me. COPYCAT is her #1 9 hours ago, prézli said: WHERE IS JASON FROM YOUR TOP MALES? He released 1 great, 1 good, 1 meh song this year. Not really worthy of my top 5. Still waiting for 777. 3 hours ago, Staryu said: and 24k Magic is such a bop I didn't include it in my countdown but I should have, I probably listened to it more total this year than last year Yes, you should have indeed 2 hours ago, K$Ellie said: Kinda shocked that Anyway is higher than Paper Love since it went #1 and you stanned for Allie for 2 weeks Everything else from #40-31 is too high Umm it was more like 6 weeks But my stanning definitely isn't over! Even though I haven't been playing ha as much. Anyway, it was super easy to get #1 on my countdown during that week so Allie just effortlessly swooped in. Anywhere is already showing more longevity, even though I just got into it kinda recently. I agree, Now or Never is a tad high But what can ya do? 1 hour ago, Dom said: All amazing, or great. snap abit remember. cute set. but hoping of course for more amazing song, will you make another update great. we will have to see, don't fail me, fat. The top 20 will be FULL of amazing songs Maybe too many?
Remmy Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 Day 9 Updates | Best Female Artists 5. P!nk Biggest Hit: So What(?) | Favorite Song: Who Knew(?) 80% of ATRL hates her new album because it's slower and doesn't have a lot of bops, but she actually exceeded expectations for me - and it might even be my favorite release from her. Alecia poured QUALITY all over Beautiful Trauma and if you gorls want to keep pretending she didn't then that's your problem, not hers! 4. Allie X Biggest "Hit": Paper Love | Favorite Song: Too Much to Dream [NOTE: Some of this is taken from my Best Newcomers description] Alexandra SNAPPED! Just discovered her this year and fell in love with her music instantly. It helps that CollXtion I and even her side-project CollXtion II: Unsolved were great, but in 2017 she managed to top both. She has such a cool sound that my library has been craving and I'm very glad I stumbled upon her material. 3. Taylor Swift Biggest Hit: Shake It Off | Favorite Song: Fearless I've been a Gaga-Taylor hybrid stan for years now, and despite reputation unveiling a "new Taylor", the album definitely doesn't make me want to change that. On my first listen I ranked it as the weakest in her discography (but I didn't hate it), then a new song grew on me with almost every additional play, and now I'd place it in her top 3. [Pikachoo]Ms. Swift went off, oh yes she did,[/Pikachoo] and I already can't wait to see what she does next. 2. Lorde Biggest Hit: Royals | Favorite Song: Hard Feelings / Loveless 1. Kesha Biggest Hit: TiK ToK | Favorite Song: Animal Both of these queens tortured us with extremely long waits (Lorde 4 years, Kesha 5), but they both delivered and even gave us MORE than what we wanted. On top of that, they managed to serve us amazing new songs that are now among their best work. I put Kesha at #1 because her comeback was extra special. It wasn't just "Oh, I have new music out after 5 years!" - her revival had a really big, important meaning, and every accomplishment added more to the story. Couldn't be happier to see her (well, both of them,) return.
Dom Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Beautiful Trauma is an amazing album and GP agrees, sold 66k this week in UK, talent won? ATRL can fume, we won. Taylor is amazing,Lorde is amazing. All this talent, omg. I'm shook. sLAY.
Staryu Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 love all these ladies, Lorde and Kesha are my top 2 for the year too
Pedro Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Poor Lorde... No description. Anyway! P!nk lost and, in fact, I am glad people are starting to acknowledge how basic she has been getting era by era. I hope she does something different soon.

shelven Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Lorde and Kesha are a great Top 2 for female artists Disco T*ts, Move Your Body and The Cure

Staryu Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 That's What I Like, Disco ****, Versace, The Cure, Beautiful Trauma are all good
Bubble Tea Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 So true about Lorde and Taylor. For Lorde to top Pure Heroine seemed like an impossible feat - and then she did exactly that, and with her sophomore album of all albums. Absolutely phenomenal. Then to see Kesha, who was forced into creating and sustaining a very cheap party-trick-esque persona for her entire career, finally emerge truly like a phoenix from the ashes with this kick-ass song was TRULY a moment! "Praying" is amazing, and Rainbow was a great return to form. Love her.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 oh sis thanks for praise OT: Make Me her best song along with Again Disco and The Cure Beautiful Trauma it's so good
