Communion Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Quote When they saw our chart number (a total with which BuzzAngle Music agrees) Isn't BuzzAngle who provides HDD with their numbers?
Fama Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 30K is a lot. How can they make a mistake like this?
KingB® Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 are people seriously saying a 30k difference is "nothing"?
Kassi Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I trust Nielsen and Billboard They been doing this a long time
Jacob.23 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Oh that might be why they didn't post the article either. They want to take all the hype away from Taylor. The week LWYMMD went #1 on the HOT 100, they took forever to post the article (it was a holiday, but it was delayed more than 24h). But when Cardi went number one, they posted the article early and she got a huge boost from it.
RobynYoBank Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Hoping Taylor’s attorneys will whip them into shape

TheFireLexus Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Just now, KingB® said: are people seriously saying a 30k difference is "nothing"? Right. Especially in 2017 when that alone could get someone a #1 album
Jacob.23 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) Is this the first time BB posted their hot 100 top ten before the BB 200 top ten????? Edited November 20, 2017 by Jacob.23
Hector Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I'm guessing Big Machine/Republic Records are mad because of the Instagram post that had the 1.29 million number as "Taylor's best debut ever"?
Toxicity. Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 30k isn't nothing in 2017 when there's albums selling that in the top 5 this week Not Taylor's fault her numbers are gargantuan though
iHype. Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 The messiest thing about all of this was HDD exposing they don't actually read their charts in the process

Lol it doesn't matter whether its a small or huge percentage of her sales. "Big" names barely sell 30-50k nowadays so it is indeed a significant amount of albums
Communion Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) 4 minutes ago, Fama said: 30K is a lot. How can they make a mistake like this? The difference between HDD's 1989 figure and Billboard's 1989 figure was bigger. This happens all the time. Billboard is the industry standard. HDD isn't. HDD even used Billboard's 1989 figure, not their own from 2014, to say their Reputation numbers meant Taylor scored her biggest first week total, so they look stupid. Ichinaru19 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I couldn't tell if they were trolling It's a 30k difference. Billboard should get it right of course, but who is to say HDD is correct?
