I have a quick question that maybe someone here can answer...

If someone has a GH album, which album would those streams count towards in terms of SPS? I was just thinking about that with Pink. Would the singles count towards their original album, aside from RYG & Perfect? Or would they all count towards GHSF?

If I remember correctly streams are counted towards the album that is placed higher in the charts (which is presumably decided by pure sales of the albums).

I might be wrong, if anyone else has more info please correct me.

That would make sense I guess.

:dies: so much for Eminem being scared. No way it was going to drop 69% like 1989

HDD posted their album chart, but the numbers are less reliable this week and with "larger-than-usual margin of error".

"reputation" dropping 82% in pure sales (-80% in SPS).

Quote

1. Taylor Swift (Big Machine/BMLG) 251k SPS, 228k album

2. *Tim McGraw & Faith Hill (Arista Nashville) 103k, 99k

Anyone know what the biggest drop is excluding those who did a tour bundle?

GH albums are pretty pointless now tbh... I'm not sure anyone would even bother

I think it's Logic's "Everybody", 86% decline in SPS and a 96% drop in pure sales in week 2.

Many artists have had a bigger than 86% drop in SPS just this year because of how sales-fueled they are. I think John Mayer is one example. But the 96% drop in pure is probably near the top

An artist can pick which one to apply them to.

The label decides! Both for BB and RIAA. I’m pretty sure that if they get no response, then it goes to the album that would chart highest with them.

I think you have to die now for greatest hits albums to matter.

I wondered how they dealt with all the prince albums in the charts after his death. Many had the same tracks on.

That wasn’t my question. Lol. I know they are pretty pointless, but Pink’s has sold over 2M and is still Top 200 on iTunes. Lol

Why is that being active in terms of promo considered a bad thing?

A perfomance doesnt always help, just see Demi that is selling 6k and she also perfomed, also I don't see a lot of perfomers there
