If not, what are they going to do when songs in the top 10 aren't selling more than like 25k for the week. Keep raising the sales weighting? I think in the UK Streaming and sales are essentially the same thing so a song can hit #1 with 130k sales which is actually itunes sales + Spotify numbers , where in the US you still get a Pure Sales and Streaming number. UK Official charts changes the formula from 100 streams equals a sale to 150 streams to offset the rise in streaming. so for now, the U.K as well is doing as BB does and trying to keep sales relevance alive.
