because it doesn't lay out what the negative situation is, and there's not really a message of hope? It's sort of a regretful song about needing to talk to someone who is depressed, written based off the lead singer's experience counseling troubled teens

We're so accustomed to y'all being 99% about explicit ass lyrics (considering those are what get tens), so that's why none of us submit anything that even remotely approaches subjective

I guess it's all up to interpretation, but to me that's not what the song represents.

"Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend somewhere along...

I would've stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life..."

To me, is someone wanting to go back and talk the person out of taking their life.

Not really, like I said it's all about interpretation.

Not saying that what ya'll submitted isn't a representation of the subject, but to ME this song would've been a good choice.

Right, and this round asked for a song that is about overcoming and offering a message of hope. Regretting not talking to your now dead friend doesn't seem hopeful now does it.

I don't have bags. I came here with three crop tops and two pairs of underwear in a dollar tree bag.

The songs title is, "How to Save a Life".

Throughout the song he talks about the things one should do to try and get through to a person who is on the verge of taking their own life. The song didn't offer a big message of hope on why you shouldn't take your life, but it's still talking about awareness when it comes to signs of suicide, and how one should never ignore them, but instead make note and take action.

I would never choose this song after reading the theme description.

Inb4 I get a low score because the judges don't even understand their own theme tea

i picked a song that hints at suicide without explicitly stating it so lets see how well this interpretation thing holds up  :'(

I s2g if y'all give good scores to songs like Perfect by P!nk or Jumper by Third Eye Blind

Not Lusslay coming for the judge. Here comes Tribal council.

But the tea is we have always been the most vocal.

Ya'll are overthinking this.

It's ONE song and that's just how I interpret it.

There are more than 1 judge with different ways of thinking.

I'm glad ya'll are shook though.
