Neither WANEGBT nor SIO had pre-order sales substracted, and Ready For It actually ate a bunch of LWYMMD's airplay and Spotify promo!

And let's face it she's doing zero or less than zero promo, nothing. She'll fell next week or the week after. BY is the worst song of the year for me. Don't get it.

Yes they had pre-order sales substracted.

Spotify promo has nothing to do with sales and airplay is debatable. Maybe a bit, but I'm fairly certain that the promo from RFI for the new Taylor era helped LYWMMD sales more than that potential airplay cost it.
