However it needs to make way to Bruno's best song in the album, Versace on the Floor. I miss Bruno's ballad slaying the chart... Versace is struggling rn but Bruno's videos help him a lot so waiting to see how that affects it. I'd hate to see Versace flop, it's hands down one of the best songs he's ever done. NickARTPOP
We should have let Uptown Funk break the record when we had the chance, what a great song, now we have to deal with another iteration of the same reggaeton song that for some reason smashed this time. I don't understand the hate for Despacito, it's a bop imo and I'm glad a Spanish song could finally reached the top ten not to mention the top of the chart How’s that racist? It’s got nothing to do with the fact it’s Spanish.I actually like the song, I just don’t think it deserves to have the record tho. I would have preferred chantaje to be in this position. In his Chart Beat Podcast (see the link in the Top 10 article), Gary Trust admitted that OSD "got lucky" with its 16 week run at #1. He pointed out that Carey has had bigger songs with more long term longevity (Hero, WBT to name a few). Without SYA, UF would've hit 17 weeks, as it was still extremely strong in week 10 at #1, despite competing against two powerhouse #2s (Thinking Out Loud, Sugar, and the two weeks Blank Space spent at #2). I still have a feeling some song is doing to take out Fonsi/Yankee after week 14 @ #1. I don't know who or what, but since it happened to UF, I think some song will blast onto the charts we aren't even aware of right now. Remember, SYA was in the bottom 20 of the Hot 100 during UF's weeks 11-13 @ #1.
