Edit: Diamante is 60k so it's sold 3 300 000 No you were right about the Diamond threshold the first time. 600k=Diamond, 60k=Platinum. But the 3.3 M (the second time) is correct. 5×600k=3 M, 5x60k=300k.
Cap10Planet Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 I don't know about this, but Daddy Yankee can smash me 55x.

I was just searching Macarena's sales! Noticed it missing and I guess the reason is its release date of 1995? The list on RIAA link starts at 2000.
Pacaveli Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 By the way, Despacito is slowly coming for that Macarena wig.

Through combined sales and streaming, yes. I can't see Despacito getting to 4.3 M downloads though lol, although two years ago I would say it would've reached 4 M+. Back to Macarena though, is 4.3 M combining the original (500k) + the remix together? I know Wikipedia cited a 1996 sales list showing the remix did 3.7 M and the original did 500k. But, the remix also charted, very heavily on sales, for 20 weeks in 1995, peaking at #45. And Macarena sold some into 1997. If it's 4.3 M combined, it's probably #3 all time. However, if 4.3 M is just the remix, and the 500k is separate, the combination would put it at 4.8 M and #2, ahead of Houston's I Will Always Love You. Hopefully the 4.3 M is combined, but they may be separate. Candle In The Wind sold 8.8 M through SS outlets, but 2 M+ more through non SS merchants.
