I'm not tryna start no ****, but I find it funny how the hive is in here praising him but dragged Rihanna for doing the same thing and wouldn't stop complaining about "free streams" the entirety of last year...

congrats to jay though, still remains today's biggest rap act.

The pure sales of this album will still make it platinum ..... how bout anti ?

Is the album even released? How will it do that in pure sales if he doesn't release it?

Jay, like Rih, got his cheque (again) anyway, I don't think there's anything the matter with that, just highlighting the hypocrisy that's defending something you dragged someone else for :celestial2:

He didn't even do that. The album is still up for download on 444.tidal.com indicating all million downloads haven't been used up yet. All he literally did was get Sprint to buy a million copies.

free download was gone like few days ago. Did they put new one?

Did illegal downloads count or is Tidal just 'that bitch' in streaming

Well until he drops another project, Jay will keep his seat warm.

Funny how the same ones who dragged Rih for filth are the same ones scrambling to defend him in here.

You know the girls are only triggered when Rihanna does something.

With anyone else they're hailed a boss, smart, a businessman, making power moves, etc :cm:

Congrats to Jay, I enjoyed this album.

Kendrick and Jay both seem to be bigger than Eminem right now.

Curious to see see how Uzi does first week after a #1 and a streaming monster.... If the project is good it could do 100k+

Now that I think about it... Probably :jonny:

Uzi and XXX have the most potential to reach Drake-like status imo. X just needs to drop the distortion :rip:

nah Drake was a hook god even in his rookie days. those 2 guys' specialty are not hooks

Swae Lee looks like he has a knack for delivering catchy hooks. i'd watch out for him

People be dragging streams but caping for this scam. At least people willingly consumed the music with streams. This dude got paid upfront for his plat plaque before it even dropped.

Any idea when we're gonna get first week projections? Has Tidal released any info on the number of times it was streamed?

According to Variety, the certifications doesn't include any steams. It's all from the free downloads.

So can y'all stop dragging Tidal now :rip:

Waiting for Tidal to get shut down someday (or at least not eligible for BB/RIAA anymore) since they got semi-exposed for faking streams a few times. I would never trust their word, especially not when it's about the numbers of the owner's album.

Apparently (or what I saw on here) is that it's from the free downloads which you can get from here https://444.tidal.com by typing in "Sprint" as the voucher code.

my only problem with this as opposed to rihanna's deal is that jay got his certification before the 1mil was actually redeemed.
