Phil Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Those huge numbers for Ed got me thinking: isn't it possible for an album to debut on the Top 200 with streaming alone? I'm sure Billboard must have a rule that an album can only debut after its release in full, but theoretically Divide could have debuted before, right?
dangerousbutera Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Galway Girl is huge I expected it for the UK & Ireland but I thought it would be one of the lower album tracks in the US, it's not the sound that is big on the charts there.

It's also the only album track on TTH

Ed is already bigger than him WW and won't get to his level in the U.S., so BTW Views is only the 3rd-most streamed album on Spotify WW. X and Purpose are ahead of it, though I can't remember their order.

It'll probably be two weeks. But Fake Love, Sneakin', and Two Birds, One Stone went straight to Spotify, so I'm holding out hope for a pleasant surprise. If J. Cole could do this: ...imagine the numbers he would pull first day.

alexanderao Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Update: iSpy back to #2, TWIL up to #3. All of Ed's tracks decreased (besides SOY). Mask Off #6 and 6k away from the top 5 Location #26, it's on fire
Steve Jobs Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Around 50m for ÷, total at ~890m. 1 billion on Friday after all.

I know the former is at 3.8B. But X was more popular then than Views is now WW. Most of its streams came in 2014 and 2015, so its total needs to be contextualized.

Purpose has ~750M lead though
