This! Spotify adds also indie labels' songs and sometimes independent releases such as "Capsize":

It looks like majors has typical marketshare and "playlists payola" means just only faster add to TTH.

Dropping places has to do with skip-ratio. If a song gets skipped before it's played over 90 seconds it will be registered as a negative and if that happens a lot they will drop it some places.
