It'll climb. It's still climbing up in some European charts. Also a frontloaded Spotify artist wouldn't have gotten 6 songs with over 300M plays in the last 2 years.

There's actually tens of songs that spent 6+ months on TTH. 1-800 is the oldest song on TTH right now. Been there since May 5th.

Havana isn't always on top, I remember there was a period it wasn't in the first 10/15 songs of TTH. 

 

Anyway, ton of songs are featured on TTH (and other major playlists), some even for a longer time.

Honestly, I really doubt there's serious payola involved. Taylor has no songs on TTH right now (and it's not surprising because her songs aren't doing well on Spotify to begin with).

 

I remember there was an article discussing how Spotify takes into account the number of times each song is played in a playlist, the skip rate and stuff like that to determine what songs stay in each playlist. @alexanderao, do you have the link to the article?
