Popular Post Doctor Dick Posted Saturday at 10:44 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 10:44 PM (edited) This isn't just some random comparison. From 2013-2017 Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and Miley Cyrus were "used" by the media as well as stan twitter to drag Gaga. Katy "ended" her in 2013, Miley was obliterating her with Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop and Ed even went as far as to shade Gaga in 2017. Fast forward to 2025: Spotify first day streams (unfiltered): Ed Sheeran's Azizam: 2.9M Miley Cyrus' End of the World: 2.7M Katy Perry's Woman's World: 2.7M Lady Gaga's Disease: 5.4M Lady Gaga's Abracadabra: 6M Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' Die With A Smile: 5M Lady Gaga's Garden of Eden: 4.4M What happened? How did Gaga managed to become one of the few acts of the 2010s to still smash while the others have either fallen completely off or are struggling? We need to know. magazine Posted Saturday at 10:59 PM Posted Saturday at 10:59 PM Because Gaga is the queen. We also love Miley, so she's good 3
Popular Post SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted Saturday at 11:00 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 11:00 PM Not too much on Milegend, she's gracefully furthering her legacy with good music. Wish I could say the same about the others... Gaga is just a legend. 13 3
Eternium Posted Saturday at 11:01 PM Posted Saturday at 11:01 PM But really, Gaga is a legendary pop artist who put out some of her most brilliant work and a collab with Bruno Mars. Disease and Abracadabra will have a hard time with catalog streams since they aren't easy listening music, but their stats are even more impressive when you realize she's pushing less GP-friendly music. Katy and Ed did much better than they deserved and their numbers are awful. Miley had a surprise release and I expect the song will continue to grow as it's very radio-friendly. 2
judasmonster Posted Saturday at 11:01 PM Posted Saturday at 11:01 PM Gaga is actually releasing good music no offense to the others but all they've given are skips
FlyOnTheWall Posted Saturday at 11:02 PM Posted Saturday at 11:02 PM Gaga has the stronger and bigger fanbase. GP interest in all 4 of them is similarly abysmal. I'd say out of them, Ed has the biggest chances to get the GP to care and get another solo hit, which is... unfortunate 1 3 19
єѕℓαм Posted Saturday at 11:05 PM Posted Saturday at 11:05 PM Gaga is smart and she doesn't release generic music to chase trends she sets them for others to follow in her footsteps & not to mention her versatility is unmatched 2 4
Roberto Posted Saturday at 11:10 PM Posted Saturday at 11:10 PM Gaga, queen of everything. Tbh, I would give Ed some time until we declare him a flop.

Genie in a Bottle Posted Saturday at 11:11 PM Posted Saturday at 11:11 PM Lady Gaga has always been more instrumental in the creation of her actual music than Katy & Miley, and she didn't fully "sell out" the moment her Hot 100 positions weren't as strong during ARTPOP the way Ed Sheeran completely sold out and went the Maroon 5 route after his first album. In doing so, Gaga cultivated and MAINTAINED a core, engaged, enthusiastic stan base that will buy her albums irrespective of whether the GP is into them or not. Gaga will never truly "flop" because of this. The other three artists relied way too much on playlist placement and radio payola to maintain their longevity and that only lasts for so long…. Subjectively, I think Gaga is way more talented, versatile, and entertaining than them from an artist standpoint, and the Bruno Mars collab (Monarch of the GP) was the perfect lightning in the bottle collab to propel her back into the GP's good graces as well. 2 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted Saturday at 11:12 PM Posted Saturday at 11:12 PM - Gaga released a good album and DWAS is a monster smash hit, plain and simple - Katy had interest for a cute return but that was sadly completely overshadowed by controversy. - Ed Sheeran hasn't been the same since that collab album. Bad Habits was a fluke. - Miley hasn't been able to release a hit since Flowers BUT at least she releases interesting music. 5
Sannie Posted Saturday at 11:13 PM Posted Saturday at 11:13 PM When it comes to Miley, y'all overestimated her power because of the Flowers fluke lol. Katy... nobody cares about her so that's why. Ed has been doing the same thing for a decade now so people are tired of it. Fact is, if you want to catch on right away, you have to do something exciting. Abra was exciting for the current pop landscape. what these other people are doing, is not.
Popboi. Posted Saturday at 11:20 PM Posted Saturday at 11:20 PM Now, who was using Katy or Miley to clown Gaga after 2014
Katamari Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM who was using ed and miley to clown gaga? and why were you taking them seriously 7
Mikeymoonshine Posted Saturday at 11:28 PM Posted Saturday at 11:28 PM I feel like Miley has a lot of GP appeal but her music is too all over the place to maintain consistent success. She's also had a lot of weak singles, she was in no way able to capitalise on the success of Flowers. Ed has gotten stale. I think Katy is just over in terms of mainstream success. Maybe maybe if she'd had something really good she could have done better but I think even that would be a longshot. People blame the controversy but the gp doesn't care about that if they like the music. 1
moonllum Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM Miley shouldn't be there with the other two. Gaga is a genius understanding the times and it's the only one with real talent, it was obvious she was here to stay since the start. 1
NewStanner Posted Saturday at 11:42 PM Posted Saturday at 11:42 PM Katy is gone, Miley is gone, Ed is gone, Gwen is gone, Meghan Trainor is gone, Addison Rae is gone……….but I'm still standing. 8
Xtina23 Posted Saturday at 11:44 PM Posted Saturday at 11:44 PM idk why tbh... we must have gone into a black hole and are now living in an alternate universe or something tbh JNSDKJFNDFJOEWDNODGSM 4

If the GP were really interested in Katy's return, Woman's World would've had a Disease-like debut and then fallen off. It was an abysmal debut from the get-go. And why would the GP suddenly be back on board exactly? What had Katy done since Smile to make the KatyKats think that? Smile had no controversies and still bombed. I think what the controversies surrounding Dr. Luke did was to turn off her casual fans and fanbase. The GP hasn't cared for Katy since Smile or else the debut of Woman's World would've reflected that. Most of them probably don't even know of the Dr. Luke debacle. 4 1
Happylittlepunk Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Miley success has always been a hit or miss she never seems too have consistent commercial success. I agree with someone said that Miley success is always overestimated. But doesn't mean we can't appreciate her music. Ed Sheeran. The gp clearly has moved on from him he is legacy now. People only want to hear his hits during his shows. Katy-clearly nobody cares anyMore.
