SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Because it's a culture shifting pop spectacle only Gaga could ever pull off. This is why she lasted 17 years while others faded, ultimately no one (no, not even Ava Max!) can replace her. 11
Genie in a Bottle Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Talent, passion, Italian fervor, and the fact she's more of a mother to the LGBT community than half of their own 1
Mikeymoonshine Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Tbf it didn't flop in the US either it just came out at a very competitive time. It would have gone top 3 this week with the points it had at it's peak. Maybe Cochella will allow it to repeak I guess. 1
PerfectCure Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago B-b-but it was only a hit in 3 countries!!! No, I'm not surprised, it actually is one of the biggest hits released in 2025.

Nico Robin Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago No, it's a very good pop song. Surely the best single of 2025 so far

Future Lover Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Please Please Please is way more impressive considering how unlistenable it is Edited 18 hours ago by Future Lover
shoganai Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago She worked hard for years, so is well deserved. And even haters can't say the opposite
Doctor Dick Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago And the only reason it didn't match Ariana's song is because it didn't go Top 10 in the US.
Popboi. Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Is this implying it's bigger than we can't be friends, BOAF or Please Please Please... cause... 8

It's implying that it's a big hit. And if you look at Europe, it's a bigger hit than Please Please Please. Instead of fuming, please join us in celebrating that it was deemed to be a flop, but ended up being a huge hit internationally and has added even more territories where it peaked Top 10 and even more #1s. Similarly to the songs mentioned by you, it has gone Top 10 in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and LATAM. I think the only reason YOU are implying it isn't near those songs is because Abracadabra didn't go Top 10 in the US or Canada which makes it seem like a lessor hit. Ask anyone in Europe and they'll probably place it in the ball-park of those hits (well, except BOAF). Edited 17 hours ago by Doctor Dick 3 8
AllyGayTor Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Abra's peak possibly reaching top 3 in the current Hot 100 chart and other previous weeks makes me sick. Either way it's a hit

Using that logic we can also all pretend that #2 and #3 peak singles would've been #1 if we use their peak points and weak week.

Abracadabra would've been Top 10 in any regular week, so it IS fair to mention. Most songs from our faves would've not reached the Top 10 if they had to go against a major Super Bowl boost. 5

KatyPrismSpirit Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Abracadabra went top 10 in 16 countries' official charts, according to wikipedia. I think your count includes numerous airplay charts but these do not account for overall song consumption. Also, what do you consider recent memory? Because songs like Birds of a Feather Please Please Please luther are still going very strong and are undeniably way bigger hits than Abracadabra. 1
