Wbk Katy would have had bigger numbers if she even had an ounce of payola that these other artists do, during smile and 143. And the playlisting reach speaks for itself, even for her recurrent hits. Especially Smile, the fact that that album has almost 2B streams without any features, questionable/short-lived TTH positions for singles outside of NRO and trash playlisting, despite being called the biggest flop ever by so many people here, kinda proves that already.

Selena can't get a hit, Demi doesn't really make music for mainstream pop radios after a couple flops, Miley is back to flopping after the "Flowers" miracle (justice for River and her Psycho Killer cover and Plastic Hearts in general), Ed does Woman's World numbers with playlists accumulating more than, at the very least, 80M listeners, Katy numbers as bad as Bebe Rexha, Nicki Minaj with 0 top 10s and hits on her last album and her Spotify numbers carried by songs where she isn't the lead...

 

It's truly the end of an era and only the legends survived.
