The GP does not 'lack interest' in new Miley singles - the sound is just off. And this happens with a majority of other artists as well. They don't reject the artist, they reject the single because it is mostly uninteresting. Y'all have to understand that the GP does not have this 'agenda' and they especially don't keep track of underperformances, not even subconciously. (Well, I guess the exception is Katy Perry, the hatred for her new material broke through the standom world.) OK but you seem to have read a lot of nonsense that I didn't actually say into my post. This doesn't happen with the majority of other mpgs. Disease wasn't a big hit but people were still interested enough to check out Gaga's new lead single for example. My point was that since Flowers Miley's streaming numbers in the first few days of release have decreased with each song and this song doesn't even seem to have any stability. Again we are talking about the first few days when her fanbase and casual listeners should be checking for her new song. That shows imo a lessening of interest in new releases from her. That has nothing to do with quality and is not driven by any agenda. I actually think the song is good and deserves to do better. She could bounce back if the song or another song blows up for some reason but she doesn't seem to have many people checking for her new singles. 1

They're just captions written by her management. Isn't Billie Eilish doing this from time to time on her twitter? Like. Stream Billie's new song pretty sure I've seen that before. 1 1
GipJo Posted Sunday at 08:07 PM Posted Sunday at 08:07 PM This song is just very boring, too typical for her songs. For lead single you need to be different than your previous era to grab attention, but these three videos don't scream a new era for me, it looks straight out of ESV era, in beautiful dress, swing singing, dance grooving, like what's new and exciting about it?
Doctor Dick Posted Sunday at 09:04 PM Posted Sunday at 09:04 PM @Miley Cyrus had a lot to say in Gaga threads but Disease looks like a Flowers-sized hit compared to Miley's latest. TRAGIC. A BOMB. 14

OnlyManInTheWorld Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM Posted Sunday at 09:44 PM It's an amazing song I'm playing on repeat so I don't care about it flopping
hawx23 Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM It's just a bad song. I don't know how these artists can have $$$ but not realize a song is boring and without a hook — when even the average Spotify listener can tell immediately something won't be a hit (ie if they don't want to listen to it again, it means it's a bomb). Also the "end of the world" theme is kind of played out when DWAS is right there. This sounds too close thematically and it kind of, again, seems redundant.

Literally none of her peers have gone a decade without touring… Selena doesn't tour since 2015's Revival Tour. Miley had a festival tour like 3 years ago.
