PokiTails Posted yesterday at 12:01 AM Posted yesterday at 12:01 AM Chromatica hit harder for me than Mayhem. I also want to add that Harlequin is also a really good album. Lady Gaga's best vocals. I don't understand how is Abracadabra praised while Stupid Love is hated on. Abracadabra could have very easily flowed within Chromatica's tracklist. 1 1 1
Kimi Posted yesterday at 12:11 AM Posted yesterday at 12:11 AM mayhem is on a complete different level lmao. top 3 vs bottom 2
Infinite Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM Chromatica is top #4 on Gaga albums
Obsession Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM I've said this since day one. Mehhem is a mess. 1 7

Matthew4815 Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM MAYHEM is the better album so sorry.
flower moon Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM thinking choma is anywhere near gaga's best makes one a simpleton sorry I don't make the rules
Kid A Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM I enjoyed Chromatica a lot when it was released but outside of maybe 6 songs, it aged poorly and fast. Joanne will likely remain her worst for some time but I honestly find myself going back to that albums few highlights more than Chroma's these days…
Da Vinci Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Finally someone who's not a success stan 1
Holiest Dreams Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM No. MAYHEM is sooo much better as an album. Chromatica has a vastly superior cover for sure (the main alt cover for MAYHEM is nice tho) but that's it. 911 is also on par with the MAYHEM music videos but Disease and Abracadabra are probably her best set of videos since Applause - G.U.Y or even Born This Way era. But as an album there's no comparison. The big difference for me is that MAYHEM is full of amazing hooks/melodies (reminiscent of her early days imo) and Chromatica isn't. 2
AdamRiver96 Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM They're both sisters. Let us come together and curb stomp Joanne instead. 1
Infernal Paradise Posted yesterday at 02:59 AM Posted yesterday at 02:59 AM (edited) The immediate backfire and landslide in the poll Chromatica is overhated, sure, but the biggest (valid) criticism leveled towards it comes from how unexciting it is. The productions just lack any punch and the individual songs, from the melodies to the structures, lack the classic Gaga signature outside of a couple songs. It is one of her most toothless albums engineered for commercial success, from the tragic streaming-friendly song lengths to strategic feature placements, that ultimately fails to live up to the lofty ambitions of the visuals that precede it, especially the album cover and photoshoot. The fact that she didn't even have her name on the production credits for the first time in her career was a dead giveaway that it was going to have a tough time making a long-lasting impression. MAYHEM, on the other hand, is a totally different beast. The productions are richer, fuller, more textured. It features top-notch live instrumentation, razor-sharp songwriting and immaculate vocal work. The Disease-LoveDrug run, followed by Shadow of a Man shortly after, is career highlight stuff. There's a reason MAYHEM is universally acclaimed and being consumed more as a body of work from top to bottom with the deep cuts gaining a much wider appreciation in the culture. It is a resounding reminder that Gaga is at her best, most creative and powerful self when she's in complete control of her vision and follows her own muse. Easily her best work since BTW and an instant and welcome addition into the upper echelon of her discography and the upcoming performances starting with Coachella next week are only going to cement it further. OP, through the post and replies, just comes across as one of those bitter and disgruntled fans that became a victim of their own expectations of a "dark-pop" album, even though she teased an eclectic, genre-bending record from day one. nikevo2925 Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Mayhem has massive replay value. Chromatica is good too but not as great as mayhem. Besides it gives off bad pandemic memories so I rarely listen to it anymore
Into The Void Posted yesterday at 03:11 AM Posted yesterday at 03:11 AM But does Chromatica have Garden of Eden or Shadow of a Man 1
tost1 Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM Chromatica is a basic album full of Eurovision leftovers
MonsterNavy Posted yesterday at 03:28 AM Posted yesterday at 03:28 AM eh, its a matter of taste but for me its mayhem (i'm also one of the 3 chromatica defenders so...) imagine serving chromatica and mayhem back to back though whew a true legend
FrederickGa Posted yesterday at 03:33 AM Posted yesterday at 03:33 AM Chromatica is definitely better than what it was treated as, but MAYHEM is just TOP TIER
BrokenMachine Posted yesterday at 03:39 AM Posted yesterday at 03:39 AM Unlike Chromatica, I could actually listen Mayhem in full
FrederickGa Posted yesterday at 03:42 AM Posted yesterday at 03:42 AM Album Visuals/Aesthetics - Chromatica Album's Musical Content - Mayhem Production - Mayhem by FAR Melodies - almost equal Choruses - MAYHEM Lyrics - almost equal Singles - MAYHEM Music Videos - Chromatica as a whole, but Abracadabra stomped on everything since TFM
EnigmaticAndroid Posted yesterday at 03:55 AM Posted yesterday at 03:55 AM I'm a huge Chromatica truther but NO!
