Chromatica is very overhated on here but the quality just isn't the same.

honestly yes. I resonate with Chromatica more because behind the 90s dance beats is a very vulnerable Gaga. its her darkest album tbh

I prefer Mayhem. All songs are great or more, even How Bad Do You Want Ally 

 

Chromatica has duds like Sine from Elton's Grave and 1.000 Pigeons that I always skip. The rest is great though, deserved more singles/videos

You are right about the visuals though. So much of the promotional material has just been glitch effects added to the same few photos. Even Chromatica's Spotify canvases were more fun to look at

I really like Chromatica, but Mayhem is a much better record overall. It's highs are infinitely higher than Chromatica's and it's lows are nowhere near as low.

the only thing that is better about chromatica is the visuals and cover..

 

songs like plastic doll, sine from above, and free women ruin the album for me but there are definitely some bops

Put it this way I think both albums are good but Mayhem is just much more successful at what she was trying to do with it. Chromatica felt too safe productionwise the fact that the songs are really short for streaming purposes is also telling. It's still good and I don't think any of the songs are terrible but every song on Mayhem feels like so much effort was put into perfecting it.

They are very different from each other, I personally still love Chromatica more than MAYHEM but both good albums.

chromatica is one of the worst albums i've ever heard sonically, whilst mayhem is one of the best. chromatica doesn't hold a candle to miss hem

Chromatica was cute though, just needed more "Gaga" seasoning production-wise imo.

I kinda don't LOVE either album to be honest. I think I do like Chromatica more overall but "Abracadabra" is probably the best song from the two. But "rain on me", "stupid love" and "911" are such mega bawps my god.
