Heldenzeit Posted Saturday at 04:43 AM Posted Saturday at 04:43 AM Chromatica is very overhated on here but the quality just isn't the same. Mayhem >>>
Pikachoo Posted Saturday at 04:45 AM Posted Saturday at 04:45 AM honestly yes. I resonate with Chromatica more because behind the 90s dance beats is a very vulnerable Gaga. its her darkest album tbh 2
ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted Saturday at 05:27 AM ATRL Moderator Posted Saturday at 05:27 AM both are great but that 911-Plastic Doll-Sour Candy-Enigma-Replay sequence is just 1 1
J-esper Posted Saturday at 05:36 AM Posted Saturday at 05:36 AM I prefer Mayhem. All songs are great or more, even How Bad Do You Want Ally Chromatica has duds like Sine from Elton's Grave and 1.000 Pigeons that I always skip. The rest is great though, deserved more singles/videos 1
tellem Posted Saturday at 05:47 AM Posted Saturday at 05:47 AM You are right about the visuals though. So much of the promotional material has just been glitch effects added to the same few photos. Even Chromatica's Spotify canvases were more fun to look at
Mr. Mendes Posted Saturday at 05:54 AM Posted Saturday at 05:54 AM I really like Chromatica, but Mayhem is a much better record overall. It's highs are infinitely higher than Chromatica's and it's lows are nowhere near as low.

beyonceparkwood Posted Saturday at 06:11 AM Posted Saturday at 06:11 AM Mayhem is better; its highs are higher. Both have similarly extreme low lows though.

NewStanner Posted Saturday at 03:47 PM Posted Saturday at 03:47 PM The "worst song" on Godhem is still 7/10, meanwhile Chromatica has Stupid Love /endthread
brokee Posted Saturday at 05:05 PM Posted Saturday at 05:05 PM I'm enjoying Mayhem way too much like i have never listened to Lady Gaga like this so her releasing an album like this into her 17-year career is impressive to me.
Bael Posted Saturday at 06:46 PM Posted Saturday at 06:46 PM (edited) Chromatica's only STELLAR song was 1000 doves but we aint ready to have this conversation. Edited Saturday at 06:46 PM by Bael 1
Appletree Posted Saturday at 06:51 PM Posted Saturday at 06:51 PM Born This Way, Chromatica's & Mayhem are Gaga trilogy
Katamari Posted Saturday at 06:56 PM Posted Saturday at 06:56 PM i think the best version of the songs from chromatic and the remix album could compete with mayhem
BlossomSoul Posted Saturday at 07:02 PM Posted Saturday at 07:02 PM the only thing that is better about chromatica is the visuals and cover.. songs like plastic doll, sine from above, and free women ruin the album for me but there are definitely some bops
Mikeymoonshine Posted Saturday at 07:13 PM Posted Saturday at 07:13 PM Put it this way I think both albums are good but Mayhem is just much more successful at what she was trying to do with it. Chromatica felt too safe productionwise the fact that the songs are really short for streaming purposes is also telling. It's still good and I don't think any of the songs are terrible but every song on Mayhem feels like so much effort was put into perfecting it.
Elusive Chanteuse Posted Saturday at 07:18 PM Posted Saturday at 07:18 PM Yes. Mayhem is a 6-7 out of 10 for me. IDK its not what I expected. Chromatics is superior.
CBC Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM You're right and you should say it. The mob mentality hate towards Chromatica has always been weird, and imo, rooted in thinly veiled homophobia 1
jim19911126 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago They are very different from each other, I personally still love Chromatica more than MAYHEM but both good albums.
KahnumDash Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago chromatica is one of the worst albums i've ever heard sonically, whilst mayhem is one of the best. chromatica doesn't hold a candle to miss hem
Ethereaaal Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Girl, Don't Call Tonight would fit Chromatica and it's the worst song on Mayhem Chromatica was cute though, just needed more "Gaga" seasoning production-wise imo. Edited 10 hours ago by Ethereaaal
Bubble Tea Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I kinda don't LOVE either album to be honest. I think I do like Chromatica more overall but "Abracadabra" is probably the best song from the two. But "rain on me", "stupid love" and "911" are such mega bawps my god.
