…… yall just hate Lizzo, we get it. But she ate with this one. And it's no shade. Britney is known for her signature dance style with the head set but they are basically identical to Janet, who was doing it years before. Britney is amazing but it is just classic erasure imo. Janet was doing Britney before Britney was making music.

Well she was, Britney loves her some Janet. Plus, the creating of her own musical style, I love Britney but her early albums were created and were inspired by Robyn after Jive lost her. Clearly the clip is longer but girls wanna be messy and remove all context. Watch the full interview first before you get angry.

and Lizzo is a Cupcakke impersonator

Cupcake is a rapper whose songs extremely raunchy, Lizzo is an R&B, funk singer whose song are about body positivity. The only similarities between the two are their weight is on the chunky side and that they are black.

well the only similar thing about Britney and Janet are performance styles, musically they're completely different. Janet never did bubblegum pop like Britney's first three albums.

Britney's entire performance style is based on Janet Jackson, so yesh

Britney's first two albums were based on Robyn, who rejected Jive's record's offer. Jive records would then try to make a new Robyn hence newly signed Britney was turned into Bubblegum Debut Brit.  This was during Britney's time with the group Innosense, before her departure. Musically, Britney would go full Janet during the ITZ era, "I'm A Slave for You", Early Morning, Boom Boom, Me Against the Music, Touch of My Hand and Breathe on Me.

Who is this woman and why is she randomly attacking Britney Spears in calendar year 2025 ? :deadbanana:

She must have some serious issues she should work on.

Hope Britney destroys her on Ig

These type of hosts always lick their guests' asses, so no surprise

ot:The "it's true" comments acting obtuse in here :toofunny3:

Yall wouldn't agree if someone called Janet - an MJ impersonator, right?

Yall rly just love denying Britney's individuality, when even the PEOPLE that worked with her, talk about how Hands-On she was in her career...

Exactly. Madonna was 19 and at university (on the brink of leaving for NYC) when Janet became a TV star. Two minutes of research would have told her that! :rip:

And then to make matters worse "There were no such things as pop divas before Janet. Janet was first..."  :deadbanana4:

What an ignorant dumbass!!

What a nonsense comment. If stupidity were measurable, she'd break the scale.

Janet and Britney are very different artists In my opinion outside of maybe dancing, I know Britney credits Janet and I'm always glad seeing Janet get her flowers but my G this was a reach by Lizzo lol

Y'all have been saying this for YEARS. Now it's a problem when someone y'all don't like does?

Can you post the full comments? Erasing pop divas before Janet is beyond dumb. Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Cher, Tina Turner.

fixed that for you

I hope you can self-reflect on why, as a grown adult man, you feel the need to make juvenile snarky digs in the name of a quarter-century-old stan feud. If you feel that Britney did not contribute to her artistic identity, I would be genuinely interested in hearing you articulate your reasoning.

Britney's "teen pop sensation to dance diva" transition is actually %100 Kylie's blueprint, but none of you are ready for that discussion
