Blade Runner Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Zzzz. Meanwhile men can be the biggest RATS ever and nobody gives a f+ck. Let these women exist in PEACE. America wants someone to blame for being a sh+tty ass place and, as usual, they choose their pop stars. lmfaooo. 3
Blade Runner Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Also that one person saying this: "acting like normal people aren't busy too? they still manage to stay well-educated about politics". "Normal" people are NOT well educated about politics. AT ALL. Twitter is a wild, wild place. So stupid, braindead, and superficial. Edited March 30 by Blade Runner 1 1
ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted March 30 ATRL Moderator Posted March 30 Most people working 9-5 jobs are not informed or educated on politics. But, merging this with the other thread. 1
penguintim Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Well she's still more politically educated than most of y'all so clearly she's doing something right
Acuminatus Posted March 30 Posted March 30 This is what she deserves for releasing The Giver as the follow-up single I watched this whole interview and didn't really think too much of this moment TBH. Not surprising that X users are perched for stuff like this though.
Gyal Posted March 30 Posted March 30 omg can y'all leave these girls alone and vote I don't even like Chappell all that much but I honestly do not expect her to want to talk politics all the time
Suspendedintheair Posted Sunday at 12:23 PM Posted Sunday at 12:23 PM I absolutely refuse to ever be this aloof of an artist. Ya'll need to wake up. 2
CottageHore Posted Sunday at 12:36 PM Posted Sunday at 12:36 PM The way the same ugly ******* break their ankles running into any thread on this forum bashing Chappell time and time again Anybody over the age of 16 with a fully developed prefrontal cortex isn't gonna hear this clip and get offended. What she's saying makes complete sense. She signed up to be a pop star, not a moral compass and certainly not a politician. If pop stars wanna use their platform to incite positive political change (or attempt to, which in most cases is all self-serving pandering they do just to be more liked and y'all eat it up like idiots) then they should. But for those who don't have the confidence or knowledge to feel comfortable endorsing political figures or discussing politics shouldn't feel forced into doing so. This isn't hard to get. Ya'll are just so committed to being offended and thus are so committed to not using critical thinking skills. It's hilarious 2

Also, no "normal person" is dealing with millions of people shitting on them and calling them "a horrible person" because they don't wanna yell their political opinions out in public for all to hear.
Phaunzie Posted Sunday at 01:05 PM Posted Sunday at 01:05 PM (edited) Now, girl you literally made several political statements and have been a political figure throughout your career. OBVIOUSLY, we are going to look at you for your political opinions. Girls, I am having flashbacks to certain popstar. Edited Sunday at 01:08 PM by Phaunzie 1
suburbannature Posted Sunday at 04:38 PM Posted Sunday at 04:38 PM My favorite part about this clip is that she is insinuating that normal people who are educated about politics are able to do so because they aren't as busy or hardworking as pop girlies 1 1 1
rzal Posted Sunday at 04:39 PM Posted Sunday at 04:39 PM Everytime she speaks she gets dragged and her fans run each time to claim everyone is just misunderstanding her. 4 1
piotrert Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM She should pull Beyoncé and do no interviews because clearly she also is dumb as rocks. 3 2
Sergi91 Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM She was very loud when Kamala was running for president and didn't wanted to endorse her but now? She's so annoying. 1 1
est. in 90s Posted Monday at 12:30 AM Posted Monday at 12:30 AM Different parts of this interview are going viral on my TL. She getting whacked left & right while her subreddit are saying this was her best interview to date 4

JustHoran Posted Monday at 08:13 AM Posted Monday at 08:13 AM I love Chappell and her music, but I can't with her in these interviews.. This girl is pushing 30 and acts like she's a 16 year old 3

katara Posted Monday at 08:24 AM Posted Monday at 08:24 AM She is just a dumb airhead. You can tell there isn't much nuance or finesse in her thought process 3
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted Monday at 07:08 PM ATRL Moderator Posted Monday at 07:08 PM While I do think she's kind of digging herself into a hole with what she's saying, I think a lot of people are twisting her words and doing WAY too much. People are twisting it into "why is she complaining about being famous" when that's not really the point. I completely agree that the world should not be looking to entertainers to educate the public on politics, that's not their field. But she should just leave it at that....if she doesn't want to talk politics, she shouldn't. She is not doing the best job explaining it and it comes off wrong
