beyonceparkwood Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The way her words get twisted in the most insane ways. 1
Trent W Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Honestly is a fair take People who look up to celebrities for political takes are insane, I would even say it's a new form of mental disorder 1
Bad_vocal_technique Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The whole interview with call her daddy was insufferable. 5

This. After people were begging for Taylor to endorse Kamala because she would "swing"the election and we still lost, you would think that would've poked holes in whatever argument people use to harass celebs over this. it's literally just virtue signalling at this point. you don't actually care 2
swiftawaywithme Posted March 29 Posted March 29 There is nothing wrong with anything she said here. 1
If U Seek Amy Posted March 29 Posted March 29 This is the problem once you begin to speak or act on activism as a celebrity. If you ever begin to go down that route activists will never let you forget it and drag you for everything you do or don't do. This is why celebs often don't speak out on things, because it quickly creates a damned if you do or don't situation. Celebs should be aware that if they go down that route they need to dedicate a lot of time and effort to it, not just use it for talking points to try and score points. Now she is in a situation where if she speaks on it she is trying to save herself from backlash and doesn't actually care and any amount of effort will not be enough. If she doesn't she then doesn't care about it used it for self gain to people. 9
LustSpell Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I completely and utterly understand why Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande all went full reclusive from social media and interacting with stans. These people are so insufferable it's annoying. She said nothing wrong. 8
fountain Posted March 29 Posted March 29 See what she is saying is fundamentally right, nobody should be going to a popstar for political advice. The issue is, the average American is... let's just say not as in touch as they should be, so they DO have to go and rely on celebrities for this ****. It's the society that is wrong, not her.

I don't see it like that? Considering Trump won and Hollywood is completely against him. Actually, several right-wingers believe that celebrities should not be speaking about politics.
hcneymoons Posted March 29 Posted March 29 the way she explains everything like a pretentious high schooler just makes everything that comes out of her mouth sound very distasteful i understood what she was saying , the lack of connection people have towards politics & the parasocialism of celebrities has/will lead fans to placing them on a pedestal & following them on their stance on certain political situations instead of having a mind of their own do yall actually listen to conversations or do you just read the topics & run with it i dont even like the girl but some of you are next level hating 2

talentress Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She has the problem Taylor had around like 1989 era. She has this outdated brand of girlboss feminism that doesn't work today. 3 1 1
anastaciabby Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Why can't anyone have an ounce of criticism for her on here? There's more posts saying "y'all do the most" than actual negative opinions. Rich Celebrities aren't children 5
Digitalism Posted March 29 Posted March 29 3 hours ago, bad guy said: Right I was looking at that tweet dragging her with that take and was like…most people who work 9-5's actually don't pay attention or have the time to pay attention either And especially if we add other responsibilities like kids into the mix. Also it really sends me how Twitter acts like these artists don't work hard and often times work much longer hours than the average person as well. Of course they get paid more (whether that money goes to them or funneled back to the label depends on the artist) but to pretend like they just do nothing but get paid to be famous is just dumb. Unless you're a Taylor, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Gaga, etc. you're not just getting thrown millions of dollars. But anyway she desperately needs PR course. It's clear that people that are on X all day or in the college years in campus think everybody are constantly informed about what they care about. In reality it's like 10% of the population.
